The Englishman in the front row with the prime minister, PS Edward Zammit Lewis, PM’s chief of staff Keith ‘Kasco’ Schembri and Identity Malta chief Joe Vella Bonnici (the really elegant one with his legs apart) is Hugh Morshead, chairman of Henley & Partners, who has been given full control of the sale of Maltese passports.

Not another bloke who told them their plans are ‘very ambitious’?
What is John Huber’s role in all this?
What a motley crew.
Ahjar jghidulna x’ha jigri meta persuni bhal Aisha Gaddafi u l-familja taghha u shabha japplikaw ghac-cittadinanza?
So Mr Morsehead has more powers than President Abela.
Forgot to put “IL-BARRANI” in front of Mr Morsehead.
Actually of them all it’s Keith Kasco with the best posture. The PM is slouchiing in the chair with his legs apart, though not as much as Vella Bonnici.
[Daphne – Keith Schembri is NOT sitting properly. He’s slumping and the way he holds himself screams out insecurity. There is only one way to sit in those circumstances: straight spine that doesn’t touch the back of the chair, shoulders back, head upright, face turned to speaker, legs together, feet parallel to each other and pointing straight out, hands placed one on top of the other on lap; if you feel more comfortable with your legs crossed, point the dangling foot downwards and make sure the other foot is pointing straight out. When you’re at home in front of the television, or drinking round the table with friends, sit as you please. I can’t believe these things have to be explained.]
Very true, they sit like a sack of potatoes.
timesofmalta.com reports Home Affairs minister Manuel Mallia as saying that the scheme ‘would attract high value people and would have a multiplier effect on the economy’.
Not if they stash the 500,000 euros they have left over under the bed and forage their water supply from the public fountains, it won’t.
Second row, second from left John Huber another switcher with benefits.
Let’s not label anyone. It’s a democratic country. Everyone is entitled to throw his principles to the wind.
No. Let’s label them. One of the reasons that the Maltese privileged few and the illiterate masses get away with stupid thinking is that everyone is afraid to label them.
No one ever challenged the privileged switchers on the reasons behind their decision to support Labour. Because it’s a democratic country and we shouldn’t label anyone. To hell with that.
Including the Prince of Belair it would appear…
Democracy means that people SHOULD be labelled, or there!d be no point in having different opinions at all.
Must have been a very interesting seminar. Look at the attendees in the fourth row on the left of the picture. The second person from the aisle, sitting next to the man in the gold and red tie just cannot hold back a yawn.
They meet in a foreign country to discuss the sale of ours.
Where is KMB?
Isn’t that a betrayal of the country? Enough basis to revoke any passport sold this way.
It seems John Huber has cleared out his issues with Henley & Partners.
