Times of Malta tells us that the Valletta Christmas lights were switched on (at least it wasn’t ‘turned on’) by “Small Business Minister” Chris Cardona

Chris Cardona isn’t particularly small, but imagine if he were packaged like the head of government communications.

Sounds like Dalli is busy consolidating his new power base, edging the minister out and paving the way for some juicy contracts.
And the minister is realizing that he has been a stooge from the very start, led on like a sheep right to the edge of the cliff.
The Minister who’s always in pole position……

Some people prefer red lights to white.
Chris Cardona was ‘switched on’ with a pole in the middle of Republic Street.
Wasn’t Chris Cardona Minister for Economy? Or has he been demoted?
I suppose when Zammit Lewis, his supposed parliamentary secretary is in Miami with the PM, someone had to pull that switch.
Cardona, alas, doesn’t do wine tasting.
I still find ‘The Office of the Refugee Commissioner (ORC)’ somewhat funnier. This title pre-dates the PL:
