Where was the Police, Army and Passports Minister last night? Ringside at a boxing match, surrounded by thugs and people of dubious repute.
As parliament debates the sale-of-Maltese-citizenship scheme (there was another session this morning), the cabinet minister responsible had higher things on his mind last night other than working out whether a billion means one hundred million or one thousand million.
A member of my international worldwide network of spies reports as under, with the photograph he took shown here.
———–
Last night there was a boxing fight at the Monte Kristo estates.
Manuel Mallia had his own private table ringside along with a couple of security men. Obviously he was in the VIP area alongside a lot of his clients.
Luciano Busuttil also turned up, in full wannabe Maltese mobster wear: black suit and open-necked black shirt. But he sat at a separate table to the Police Minister’s, and didn’t seem to acknowledge or speak to him.
Busuttil had with him what appeared to be a bodyguard, who sat at his table, but with his back to the ring, probably to keep an eye out for people willing to kill such a high profile person like Lucky Luciano.
Busuttil spent ALL night on his mobile phone, barely even glancing at the fight.

Ara biex twekkejna…
Lucky Luciano is right there, in the background, in black.
Nghid jien, tmur tara glieda boxing u tilbes il-glekk?
Perhaps his lovely collection of T-shirts – as seen at Lidl and Scotts – is in the wash and the Romanian maids are under strict instructions not to fill up at the St George’s Square fountain because there are lots of photographers round Joseph’s tent there and he doesn’t want a jerry can picture sent to this website.
Nahseb ha jsibu x’jaghmlu bihom il-miljuni li ha jdahhlu mil-prostituzzjoni tac-cittadinanza – min jaf kemm ha jizzablu u jiffangaw aktar minn fuq dahar il-poplu.
Il-vera hamalli. This is really crass. Well, he is trying to make friends with bully boys and thugs just in case he needs them in future.
Most of them are his clients already.
i think a hamallu is one who judges n insults ppl for nothing (a low life) not one who is active, disiplined as a pro in sports..
Ara f’hiex gejna.
Hekk xtaq il-poplu Malti.
Hu go fik, ja poplu gifa.
It looks like Manuel Mallia was the referee.
NO THE REFEREE WAS ME,.MY NAME IS CHARLES CARDONA.
I WANT TO ANSWER ONE THING, POLITICS SHOULD BE LEFT ALONE AND NOT MIXED WITH SPORT!
IF YOU CAN’T APPRECIATE A PERSON WHOEVER HE IS, POLITICIAN OR NOT, TO GO AND WATCH A BOXING MATCH, THEN I AM SORRY BUT YOU DON’T KNOW WHAT SPORT IS!
AND, A BIG NO, I AM NOT A CLIENT OF ANY LAWYER!
Boxer and fat bastard Mallia. Who made a beeline for whom?
Why was the boxer shouting at Mallia?
Tider sitwazzjoni fejn il-boxer qed jghaddi ‘komplejn’ ma’ wiehed mill-organizers.
My eyewitness reports that the boxer wasn’t shouting at Mallia. He was inviting him into the ring for a photograph.
1 : boxing is a sport ( i practice boxing and my conduct is clean ) so im not a thug …….
2: im 100 % nationalist
3: i would like to thank dr mallia cos other ministers never showed up at any events ..
4: they dress like that cos the v.i.p area you have to dress smart !!
5: if you know nothing about this sport you better not comment .. thanks
( boxing is an Olympic sport ) btw !!
How could Mallia’s right hand reach comfortably to the boxer’s right shoulder.
Must be another illusion.
It’s not Mallia’s it’s the lady behide the boxer who has her hand on the boxer’s shoulder.
Mallia probably has his hand in the boxer’s pocket.
The perfect punching bag.
Unless I am very much mistaken, the bald man in the tight white T-shirt, on the right of the picture, is Stephen Ciangura – Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando’s ‘bodyguard’ (remember the scene outside the PN HQ) whose services were paid for by Mrs MIchelle Muscat.
tal-misthija kemm hawn min hu njorant biex ta il- poter lil dawn in-nies
people get the government they deserve….
There’s Stephen Ciangura to Mallia’s right too.
For those who don’t know Mr “anke jien ivvutajt bhalek fl-ahhar elezzjoni”, here’s a link to remind you who this thug is.
He has been JPO’s personal body guard for a number of years. Mallia was Ciangura’s lawyer together with Franco Opportunist Debono in many court cases.

The man with long hair next to him is one of the notorious Paceville bouncers, from Libya, who is always causing fights and giving a hard time to the police.
That’s where he’s most comfortable. After all, he’s been surrounded by such people, and made his money off them.
The standards that this minister has been showing in public are, to say the least, bewildering.
Right, Jose’?
Dimmi con chi vai – e ti diro’ chi sei. Veru l-kaz!
Manuel Mallia is the 21st century version of Wistin Abela with a set of thugs (previously from Zejtun).
According to Minister Manuel Mallia’s definition in parliament of the word ‘accelerated’ (during question time last week), the promotion of a number of Labour Party diehards from Major to Lt Colonel and those of the same persons from Lt Colonel to Colonel WITHIN JUST 2 WEEKS cannot at law be described as ‘accelerated’.
This is why, according to Mallia, the promotions in question did not necessitate the Brigadier’s recommendation.
Promotions would have been accelerated had the four majors in question been promoted, not to the next higher grade, i.e. Lt Colonel, but straight to that of Colonel.
Another case of Mallia using contorted logic to cover up for Labour’s obscenities.
I suspect that Mallia still thinks in defence lawyer mode where any type of argument will do if it serves to get his criminal clients off the hook.

I am a boxing promotor myself and there is no harm in mp’s attending these kind of events, and as for boxers being thugs I am unsure how or where you get that impression from. Boxing is a sport like any other sport it’s even promoted in schools all over the world. To be a boxer it takes a lot of heart, discipline and dedication. It’s not fair they are labeled as thugs. I have been to shows in the uk where the prime minister along with the queen where present .
