EU Commissioner Reding has been tweeting about the sale of EU citizenship

Published: January 16, 2014 at 9:53pm

National #citizenship is an entry door to the #EU. It is an entry to the rights that EU citizens enjoy. It should not be for sale.

———

Member States should use their legal prerogatives to award #citizenship in a spirit of sincere cooperation with the other Member States

———

#EU #Citizenship is a fundamental element to our Union. You cannot put a price tag on it.

Now she needs to up her game and combat those vile Labour people.

By tomorrow she will probably get a page full of abuse.

    Dear Ms. Reding,

We understand that you feel terribly upset by our government’s insistence in carrying on regardless with the IIP scheme. You are on the outside looking in.

We, who are on the inside looking out, are not at all surprised and know fully well that our prime minister will stick two fingers at the EU and go ahead regardless as he has already stated.

He is actually inviting a confrontation to ultimately justify severance with the EU, citing interference with national affairs. What do you expect from a person who has always been anti-EU. Lord, have mercy on us.

  4. Pippa says:

He can’t really do that can he? It will bring to nothing this venture – without EU membership, a Maltese passport is worth zilch – to the target buyers.

    So he’s in a catch 22 situation.
