Mintoff and Muscat

We deserve better than this. Oh hang on a minute, no we don’t. Isn’t this what people voted for?

In the name of the father, and of the son….

  2. Alexander Ball says:

What? Is Muscat going to vote to bring down the Labour government?

    • Francis Saliba MD says:

Muscat won’t be able to call Mintoff a traitor on this account and Mintoff is no longer around to accuse the LP prime minister of abandoning his socialist credentials.

  3. Rosie says:

We all have to make decisions. The difficult part is living with the consequences.

It’s even more difficult to live with the consequences of other people’s decisions – those taken in March 2013, for example.

  4. Kelinu says:

They both managed to create a deeply divided nation. The only difference is, Muscat has done it in record speed of 10 months.

  5. Chris says:

Perhaps this will sober things up a bit. If the UK is being ‘warned’ about an EU exit…

    Chavtastic.

    Frame tal-ganutel jonqoshom.

  8. Edward says:

Like everyone else, I knew this was going to happen. I knew this would happen the day Mintoff went down to the Labour Party’s headquarters to visit Muscat.

People back then thought it was just a PR stunt and a “keep the peace and be nice to the 90 year old” stunt. However I distinctly remember thinking that it was a lot more significant than that.

Then the golden-years champions came back.

Then the brainwashing and hysteria came back.

Then the undercutting and left-footing came back, along with the bullying and the threats.

Today we are lumped with a bunch of idiots who seem to have no problem sending the poor and the desperate and dying back to where they came from, while at the same time handing out our passports to the rich in a scheme I don’t even think they came up with themselves but were given it by the Chinese, or some other “lateral thinker”, or both.

    God, two ugly mugs.

I thought they buried that old bastard on the upper left.

  10. Tabby says:

Malta’s PREU gets more and more isolated. And she looks like she can do with a break …..

  11. victorio says:

Did they not called this man a traitor? Despicable .

    • ciccio says:

Yepp, they called the old man a traitor. They now seem to be comparing the young one to him.

      • watchful eye says:

I will not call it comparing. I understood six months ago that Joe Muscat is copying the old leader. And copying he is – with all the ills this country is facing.

    Joe Grima is history

Unable to join Net TV again as he did in 1999 before returning to Super One in September 2009, Joe Grima is with his broad back to the wall.

Joe Grima, the former Labour Minister, resigned from his One TV programme Inkontri and Joseph Muscat accepted his resignation stating that ‘Joe Grima is not the face of the Labour Party’

    http://www.maltatoday.com.mt/en/newsdetails/news/national/Muscat-says-Joe-Grima-is-not-the-face-of-the-Labour-Party-20120830

Joe Grima tries to suck up to Joseph Muscat in the hope of being provided with some kick-back from the public coffers while re-writing history (Mintoff kicking the British out is just one myth repeated frequently in the hope that it will stick).

The present MLP government’s love affair with Joe Grima lasted a few short years. The man is often foul-mouthed and difficult to defend and his latest ‘slip-up’ made it easier to shed the ballast.

    Ergo, Joe Grima is history.

They have the same right hand man, too. Go figure the mess we are in, in just under 10 months.
