In Malta many journalists take it for granted that the media should be controlled which is why it is controlled in the first place.
I have been following the Chinese scene for decades. I have heard their leaders` views about the “Divine” rights they have to pollute the air because the west did it before them.
I have followed their opinion abour journalism, freedom of speech and their policy of regional supervision by party thugs.
Their “education” policy that is indoctrinating convicted persons serving terms in prison.
Then I also followed the suffering of the poor people who at times could not afford a bite to eat. ALL IN ALL it is most appalling and disgusting seeing the fatter pigs in the farm treating the others as scum. Their aspirations to power are beyond imagination, though silently executed.
Chinese troops killing Tibetan pilgrims – BBC was banned from China for reporting this story. Recordings have been repeatedly purged from Youtube and are no longer visible in China.

And Xinhua has just announced that China will be carrying spot checks on the personal and family assets, hidden wealth, personal and family incomes of officials of the Chinese ruling Communist Party.
Somehow I do not believe that there is any connection between that Xinhua news item and the opening of its Malta News Agency Bureau by our Home Affairs Minister Manuel Mallia.
So did Xinhua say whether the Chinese government will be looking under the mattresses of the Chinese Cabinet Ministers?
