Friends of Jo update: we don’t like people who do things to dead cats, but we love people who kill tigers to impress

The Guardian reports on how 10 tigers have been slaughtered in China at an officially sanctioned “visual feast” to impress businessmen and political contacts.

The hypocrisy of Jo’s government: making a public spectacle of a mentally ill man who cycles around picking up roadkill and tying it to bits of wood left in a public place (a contravention called littering or dumping animal carcasses), posing uncomfortably with dogs to impress the hysterical Maltese who think ‘animals’ is a category made up only of dogs and cats, then selling our power station to people who kill tigers in a spectacle worthy of Caligula to impress people like him.

And with tigers, it’s not just about wanton destruction and cruelty – there are some big environmental issues there. They’re an endangered species.

    Darn, those Chinese eh?

What a sick society. All this for entertainment? Unbelievable.

These animals are very beautiful and majestic. It is hard to understand unless you have stood next to one and heard its growl, seen its massive cute paws. To see it killed like this, is just unthinkable. What a bunch of idiots.

Judging by the ostentatious way some Chinese big heads were welcomed in Paris the other day, the French don’t seem to worried about this wanton cruelty.

Yes I totally agree. The saga of “Mosta Cat Killer” headlines were so sensationalized by the media it left most people with no real choice but to condemn him without knowing any real facts.

Meanwhile this atrocity would have gone unnoticed by the Maltese if it wasn’t for an independent report such as Ms. Galizia’s. And it will still be ignored by the vast majority who stick to one biased media source and treat it as scripture.
