Iosif Galea update

This morning I wrote that Iosif Galea, the third man in the snus scandal, has been given a job as an enforcement officer at the Malta Environment and Planning Authority.

There was no call for applications, and the fundamental requirement that enforcement officers be persons of integrity was – obviously – ignored.

I have since discovered that Iosif Galea’s father is chief of staff to parliamentary secretary Michael Farrugia, whose portfolio includes the MEPA.

Disgraceful.
