Ooops. Kurt Farrugia had better not allow his boss to bend over before the cameras again.

Most bald men wouldn’t bother (that’s the way it should be). But Joseph Muscat suffers considerable anxiety about his hair loss – the magic hair was back again for yesterday’s Xarabank debate – so he should take great care not to bend over when there are photographers about. He’s fortunate that our press photographers are not any taller than he is, and so can’t routinely get his scalp at lens level. So why hand it to them on a plate?

The prime minister buys his jeans from Mothercare.
And bras from Piccinino
If this was a free country where you don’t get hauled to court for calling public officials clowns, I’d suggest a very witty caption in this vein:

That was hilarious! Reminds me of one of the switchers!
HPB this is just ‘one’ example of how democracy function (I can assure every Maltese idiot that in countries such as France both journalists and satire can be far more virulent than the following).

Is he sucking up to guide dogs now? He isn’t even looking at this one.
What’s with the number 1 near his crotch. Is he trying to tell us something?
The man behind Zowzef seems to be having fun.
A little bit of weekend entertainment

I laughed and cringed at the same time.
Just focus on his right temple. There’s a bulging vein that looks like it has reached its pressure limit.
This man can’t bend down without causing his body to experience considerable stress, let alone visiting the gym regularly.
Joseph Muscat is risking bursting his trousers.
Oh, finally the roadmap has been found! On his head, literally.
Body language clearly shows he does not know how to pat a dog and is doing it against his will.
Don’t guide dogs come with a sign “Do not pat me, I am working”?
Clearly he is not aware that a guide dog should never be touched when his harness is on, but you wouldn’t expect him to know any better.
You never, ever touch a service dog….m****…let alone pose for pictures touching it.
“A number of Maltese citizenship applications have been approved and applicants may have their passports in a few months, since they have been resident in Malta for some time, according to Identity Malta CEO Jonathan Cardona.
The residency clause was added to the original Individual Investor Programme in February, along with the requirement to invest or rent a property.
The successful applicants will eventually be included in the annual list published in the Government Gazette, but the fact that they got their citizenship through the IIP will not be noted.
In the meantime, Identity Malta is processing more of the 150 companies that applied to become agents for the scheme, Mr Cardona said.”

I had never noticed before how podgy his fingers are, just like pork sausages.
I see he’s going to the dogs once more
That black Lab was in harness, and therefore was working, and should not have been patted or otherwise distracted. On the other hand, the PM’s handlers appear to be on vacation.
“Guide Dog Etiquette – If a guide dog is in harness, it is working and should not be distracted. Don’t look the dog in the eye or beckon to it, and do not touch it. This could be dangerous for both the dog and the person with vision loss. You should only pet a guide dog when it is not in harness, and after getting permission from the handler to do so.”

The dog looks very bored.

And wasn’t due diligence supposed to take its time, apparently not if you’ve been living in Malta for ‘some time’.
Note the disclaimer, we’re not allowed to know which of our new fellow citizens bought their way in.
Someone should have told the Prime Minister that one never fondles or pats guide dogs when they are on duty.
Only when the reins are off (and thus the dog is off work) is this permitted. But as usual, the “emperor’s new clothes” mentality prevails and truth be hanged.
Kurt, asking the prime minister to bend over? Now there’s some unfortunate wording …
Looks like the first year of a Labour government has been a year of weight gain and hair loss for the prime minister.
Any one who is a dog lover can fully understand that the dog is anything but happy with this encounter. Do I blame the dog.
Who pats a dog like that?
Someone without any experience of the human and animal worlds.
Those who feel extremely uncomfortable around dogs because they never owned one or dislike them. Or both.
His morning gym efforts are quite evident
What efforts?
On a slightly different topic.
I don’t think that Xarabank discussed the current situation in the Ukraine, did they? Shouldn’t the Maltese public know where our government stands on this issue which affects us as Europeans and which could affect our security?
On the one hand, the international community led by the democratic West is asking Russia to respect the international law and Ukraine’s constitution. On the other hand, Russia is interfering with the internal affairs of the Ukraine.
At the UN Security Council, Russia vetoes a resolution which condemns the Crimean referendum. China abstains.

Meanwhile, in September last year, China’s President Xi Jinping told a conference hall in a Kazakhstan University:
“On the issues concerning the major core interests, including the state sovereignty, territorial integrity, security and stability, we should firmly support each other and make joint efforts to crack down on the “three evil forces” of terrorism, extremism and separatism, as well as drug trafficking, transnational organized crime. ”

CNN is reporting that with about 50% of votes cast counted, 95% of Crimeans have voted to join Russia.
CNN is also saying that it expects the US and other Western countries to impose sanctions on Russia already as from tomorrow.
Sanctions are most likely to include visa restrictions.
Will Joseph Muscat’s government be complying with those sanctions?
Or will Joseph Muscat be taking the opportunity to circumvent any US and European visa restrictions on Russian passport holders by urging Henley & Partners to sell more EU passports in Russia, using the fast tracking option if possible?
Yeah, Egyptian PT – in plain English – sleeping.
That reminds me of my army days.
You cannot blame Kurt really, it is the first time it he can see it at his eye level.
