Some people, on the other hand, cannot handle it.

The problem with trying to sell the Apollo, Venus or any other ‘pagan’ work as our dearest Guillaumier would have them, is that these cannot actually fetch any price.

    Or will he?

Perhaps he needs to explain whether it’s better these remain everyone’s or go into private hands, away from view.

We’d all be poorer then, but maybe that’s this critic’s agenda.

I suppose he hasn’t gotten as far as Urban in the history of Christiandom and that pontifex’s ultimate but little known legacy, the chamber of constellations and Eastern horoscopes. Could be he’s still struggling past the Florentine cousins posing as popes.

Just love it when the so called seculars lay into the Church for not doing enough to resolve modern society’s ills and injustices.

Absolutely sure they’d be the first to tell her not to interfere if she tried.

The Malta Independent reports Miriam Dalli as saying: “I do not believe only in what Malta can get from the EU but I also look at Malta and the EU as equal partners.”

Is it correct to say that Malta can be an equal partner with the EU when Malta is part of the EU? Isn’t this like saying that one can be a partner with oneself? Or am I missing something here?

[Daphne – You’re right. It’s symptomatic of the Labour mindset that “the EU” is something external.]

    • H.P. Baxxter says:

Yes, because learning to love yourself, that is the greatest love of all. But since we’re liberals and progressives, we don’t call it love but “partnership”.

Either that or Malta is about to disappear up its own arsehole.

Please forgive the profanity, but really.
