The people managing Charlon Gouder’s FB page have found some very valid reasons why we should vote for him

what a battery chicken looks like in a suit and tie

Another absolutely thrilling day in the life of a battery chicken in a suit and tie. Oh, and just in case this minor fact escapes you, he does all this while on a state-paid salary as Jose Herrera’s chief of communications.

I wonder if he’ll be doing his “door-to-door” in Albertown. He might even find his lost wallet.

    • bob-a-job says:

I thought that was returned when he was assaulted by two men in a nightclub in the limits of Rabat.

They even told him where to stick it for safe keeping.

    • The Observer says:

I was wondering whether his dinner would be in Testaferrata street actually.

  2. Joe Fenech says:

To have someone like this buffoon considering running for the MEP elections shows the disastrous state the country’s in. Just imagine him in the European Parliament.

  3. ken il malti says:

He looks like Buddy Holly if he ever survived that airplane crash in 1959.

  4. Brian*14 says:

    @ Joe Fenech

With the likes of Joe Cuschieri in the European Parliament, I would imagine just about anything.

  5. rob says:

I simply cant believe these small-minded people.

Is it Malta’s size that makes people so easily full of themselves and misguided?

  6. Denis says:

The honourable MEP Charlon * il hooker wallet* Gouder.

  7. marlene says:

That’s not fair to Buddy Holly – may he rest in peace.

  8. Anon says:

The Maltese phrase ‘ghandu ikla’ does not translate word for word into English as ‘he has a dinner’. One can say it but sounds very sloppy. A better alternative would have been ‘he will be attending a dinner’.

All I want for Christmas is a MEP’s salary.

  10. Aunt Hetty says:

The latest dispaches from Kensington Palace no doubt.

  11. john says:

‘Labour vote best option to defend Malta in Europe’ says Alfred Sant.

Malta doesn’t need defending from Europe, Malta needs defending from Sant and his other weird, incompetent and frankly often dodgy colleagues in the Labour Party.

Nationalist vote best option to defend Malta from Sant.

  12. H.P. Baxxter says:

I’m back from a bit of Friday night door-to-door myself, and I endorse Charlon Gouder.

  13. rob says:

Fact is if Gonzi had got rid of the few corrupt or immature politicians around him and run the helm with an iron fist there would not have been enough disgruntled voters to make the grave mistake of voting in Labour.

We must admit that every government has an element of corruption and we can’t put our heads in the sand and pretend the Nationalists didn’t have problems.

They did, and serious ones at that. But they could have been easily weeded out with a firm leader.

Now we moved from the frying pan into the fire.

The current government is practically encouraging the widest and most elaborate forms of corruption only seen before in Mintoffian years.

Malta needs a serious wakeup call. The smart AD leader Arnold should join the Nationalists who in turn should create new commandments to learn from their past mistakes and never repeat them.

Simon Busuttil must be ruthless in his policies that serve the country as a whole, with politics becoming only secondary. He is a shrewd chap and should use his talent to save this nation from becoming the laughing stock of europe. Well, it already is.

  14. bob-a-job says:

‘he does all this while on a state-paid salary as Jose Herrera’s chief of communications.’

Why is it that someone always has to carry his wallet?

  15. Not really exciting, so he has to look for something hotter. Does he think that Brussels will provide it?

  16. Anthony says:

I assume the dinner is at one of the Michelin-starred restaurants in Albertown.

    http://www.timesofmalta.com/articles/view/20140322/local/michael-farrugia-defends-petrol-stations-approval.511703

On another matter, Michael Farrugia said “the petrol station’s owners had been ‘promised a permit before the elections’.”

Did he really say that? Who is taking the decisions on development applications? From this comment, it seems that decisions are being taken by the politician and not by the Boards and irrespective of the case officer’s report.

Having the PS responsible for MEPA defend a MEPA decision is not on. Justifying a MEPA decision on the basis of a pre-election promise is crazy.

The PL has turned the planning system on its head.

    • M. Cassar says:

No, what is crazy is for people to BELIEVE that things would indeed be done in a new way when most of the ‘old’ gang has been retained AND given a position.

The surprise was how many actually paid heed to the lip service and chose to ignore their own experience.

If one puts a venomous snake in bed with him, he should not be surprised or blame the snake when he is bitten, should he? Blind trust was never a good thing and it is not likely to become so anytime soon!

  20. U Le! says:

Thank you Charlon Gouder’s FB page managers for bringing to our attention such earth shattering breaking news about how this MEP candidate spends his Saturdays. With all that is happening in Crimea, in the South Indian Ocean and in Venezuela it is good to know that Ta Giorni is covered as well.
