MCAST

Much of that is lost in translation, but it literally means decorating yourself with somebody else’s plumes for the purpose of showing off.

A few days ago the prime minister officially inaugurated MCAST’s €3 million Institute of Business and Commerce, which is part of a larger project which began in 2011 as part of Nationalist government policy, with investment of €20 million so far. It will be finished next year.

Of course, the prime minister made no mention of this and sought to pass it off as his own idea or his government’s policy, when that policy was solely not to interrupt what had already begun under the previous government.

Joseph Muscat is the same man who, just over a year ago, used the campaign tactic of dispatching Labour Party ‘Red Guards’ to a MCAST debate featuring himself and Lawrence Gonzi, for the sole purpose of chanting SHAME ON YOU to the very man (and government) who had made it possible for them to be there receiving a free education in the first place, while applauding the man who worked hard for five years to deny them an EU passport.

I remember looking at them at the time and thinking, my God, what brainwashed idiots. They can’t even reason logically to save their lives. China’s Red Guards at least had the excuse of growing up in peasant ignorance. These don’t. Spectacular stupidity of that nature is beyond frightening.

The analogy that springs to mind is that of the cuckoo which lays its eggs in the nests of other birds and is a term usually reserved to describe mental imbalance.

The public looks at Muscat as their cult leader. The MLP machine brainwashed these people like Hitler did in Germany. The PN must find a solution to this madness. For starters they need money, lots of it.

I stand to be corrected but wasn’t every major infrastructural project in this country built by PN administrations? The only exceptions were social housing (no prizes for guessing how it was abusively given out), part of the Freeport (poor quality concrete supplied at premium rates by Lorry Sant’s companies, largely rebuilt by PN) and the runway extension.

(Despite my background in manufacturing, I must confess, I’m not sure who built what factory-wise, though I know that the Mriehel and Bulebel estates were Borg Olivier’s brainchildren).

Compare that to: the airport, the general hospital, the university, the polytechnic, MCAST, Malta’s only decent roads, the Cirkewwa/Mgarr terminals, various schools, the power station, sewage treatment plants, a 100% digital telephone network, reverse osmosis plants, a waste recycling plant (which Joseph Muscat vehemently tried to scrap funding for) and most of the flood-relief project.

Here’s the rub: everybody and his dog takes these things for granted – not to say they criticise PN for spending money!

Why Simon Busuttil doesn’t point this out is beyond me. But that’s lawyers for you.

In my opinion I do not think that the PN used the TV station to the full benefit of the party during this campaign.

They should of bombarded us with clips of JM and Sant opposing every move to join the EU including clips when they went and stopped the application.

They should of showed clips of DR Eddie rebutting arguments during discussions on TV programmes. He use to tell them that in time they will do BIG U TURN.

He knew what he was doing and most of all what he was saying.

I just hope that tomorrow people will give the backing to the PN and appreciate what they did for this island.

Dr Muscat said the Paola campus development was “one of the good projects that were started in the past legislature”.

[Daphne – So that would be why he sent his loyal foot-soldiers to chant SHAME ON YOU to the very man responsible for that ‘good project’. Enough of this hypocrisy.]

    • White coat says:

He was ashamed to mention Dr. Gonzi by name. So he referred to the ‘past legislature’. Who knows. Maybe there could even be some fools who would think that the last legislature was run by Joseph Muscat.

  9. White coat says:

The PN administration and its leaders act as if they are actaully ashamed of all the good that has been done during ALL PN administrations.

The PN built Malta’s future during the 60’s then had to rebuild it again post 1987.

Between 1971 and 1987 the MLP degraded Malta from a bustling and emerging micro economy to a banana republic of the violent kind.

Now we are back to MLP times. Only yesterday it was reported that an MLP soldier of steel dressed up in a nurse’s uniform violently attacked a mental patient after the latter complained of the ward’s TV being always on the MLP’s station.

Then today we have the report of a claim of police violence.

Imagine what the situation will be like if we, tomorrow, rubber stamp our approval to all this by voting for Joseph Muscat the usurper.

MCAST is a living monument to GonziPN.
