150, ooo euros saved by taking the right decidion at the right time, could have given this mother a home, or paid her a salary for close to ten years during which she would have found her own way forward and her children would have been old enough to help out.
And the comments below show that nobody understood what she meant! Jesus help us.
About time Marlene Farrugia stops speaking in veiled terms if she really wants other Labour supporters to understand her. Her piece in The Malta Independent today was superb but totally wasted on most of the Labour crowd, though a few will have taken her message on board.
I think that Marlene knows perfectly well that the majority of her FB labour followers have a low IQ. Misleading them and at the same time sending a clear message that only pig heads cannot understand
Brilliant pun there. You know, tuna the fish and “tuna”, colloquial Maltese for “agħtuna”. Seems very apt for the gravy train Labourites keep riding at our expense while their party is in government.
Every morning ministry cars are parked in Republic Street, Valletta in front of Social Policy Ministry in no-entry area and similarly in Merchants Street near the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Kullumkien ikunu ipparkjata anki go Strada Forni. Meta jipparkjaw fil-kantuniera ikollhom il parti ta’ wara tal-karrozza mahruga fuq triq li jghaddu l-karrozzi. Ara kemm jitmejjlu minn kullhadd.
I’d say the Ministry for Home Affairs, the Police, the Army, Broadcasting etc takes the biscuit for parking. That part of Strait Street and Melita street have de facto become the ministry’s private parking parking place.
A particular black Peugeot 107 is parked (badly, may I add) in front of Da Pippo restaurant almost daily, under a No Parking sign. The owner is a ‘saxy’ black-haired, tight-skirted, stiletto-wearing employee of the Ministry of Home Affairs, with a prominent underbite…can’t remember her name.
She doesn’t even have the decency to park properly, ghax busy u importanti.
U mhux xorta. B’daqshekk.
Mela mela. Hu jizbalja u ahna nhallsu! Mhux hekk?

Or even better, a la’ Muscat:
It is the signage that is wrong not the drivers of the ministers.
Like Jo says, x’ghamlu hazin? Ghamlu dak li hassew li ghandhom jaghmlu.
Daphne do not forget that Malta is Taghna Lkoll – or rather Malta is Taghhom Biss.
Taghna ukoll, le!
Separately, the jury of ‘tie me up’ started today. Interesting
“Ghax ma tarax kif ipparkjajt int”, etc. for the next 4 years.
Tu quoque.
I wonder what the appropriate punishment for ‘forgetting the safeword” is. And, anyway, do we know who forgot it?
As expected:

Helena Dalli insists on calling it a mistake not a crime.
And see how our ministers reply to questions:
“Dr Dalli said that she did not receive any order from the Prime Minister to remove Mr Engerer from his job.
“As if….of course not!” she said when asked”.

Din serjeta?
As our Prime Minister would say: “Why not?”
” Gvern taghna biss. Naghmlu li irridu.”
It is a crime between a car and a pavement. It has nothing to do with people.
Ghax kif jghid sewwa l-billboard: Gvern tal-ELITE :)
Ghax issa m’ghadniex Taghna Lkoll imma sirna Tuna Lkoll

U ara tkellimhom, ghax jibilawk.
Min kien dak il-hmar li qaghad jizboh il-linji doppji sofor fit-triq?
Ma jafx li dak kollu hela ta’ flus, ta’ energija, u ta’ zebgha?i
Dawk ipparkjawlu hemm propju biex juruh kemm hu njurant.
La il-gvern taghna naghmlu li rridu.
Ghax ma tarawx kif kienu jipparkjaw il-ministri Nazzjonalisti! Hekk tajjeb?
“Ahna gvern trasparenti. Maghna m’hemmx kantunieri.”
“Ahna gvern nadif. Maghna mhemmx skidmarks.”
