Spot on. There’s only one thing I disagree with here, and that’s calling Engerer’s behaviour ‘amoral’. To me, it’s plain and simply immoral. I wonder why The Malta Independent editor is pulling punches.
[Daphne – The editor used the word correctly. Cyrus Engerer and the prime minister – and for that matter, individuals like Franco Debono, John Dalli and Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando of whom he has made use and been used by – are not immoral. They are amoral. http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/amoral Amorality is far more worrying than immorality, because the immoral at least know they are doing wrong and have a sense of guilt. Their behaviour can be corrected through self-awareness, which is not the case with the amoral who literally see nothing wrong in their behaviour because they have no sense of right or wrong.]

The article is wrong when it claims that the government has been championing for civil rights.
The editor is just parroting words fed by the spin masters in Castille. They only passed one law for one faction of the population. This is not broad civil rights.
Pity the original soldiers of steel to be put in the same keffa.
There’s soldiers of fortune (ref Ivan Fenech) and soldiers of steal in this case, if they want to create distinctions.
