Cyrus Engerer has been commissioned into the regiment Suldati ta’ L-Azzar. I see that Muscat is moving with the times in his approach to gays in the military, and that it is no longer ‘don’t ask, don’t tell’.

I think recruits become soldiers in what is known as ‘passing out’. Not so sure about the ‘passing’ in Cyrus’s case, but the ‘out’ definitely applies.
Cyrus Engerer should be appointed commander of the ‘Steel Regiment’ and promoted to a new rank of general.
Brigadier Curmi will come under his command.
