You can take mimicking Sliema-girl-speak to get the Sliema-girl vote a little too far, I think

Helena Dalli

Times of Malta reports now:

Dr Dalli said that she did not receive any order from the Prime Minister to remove Mr Engerer from his job.

“As if….of course not!” she said when asked.

She wouldn’t dare! Ma tarax. She can actually use him and send him off somewhere with his smart-ass-phone and obtain for her a compromising recording which she can use against her colleagues. After all, she is the Goddess of Civil Liberties and Cyrus is the Defender of Ex-Lovers.

“Like that she talked?” “Oh, il-lummy how cool”

Yes, I thought the “As if…” isn’t in the everyday pool of words that she uses.

However, I find the “As if” to be a bit contemptuous rather than anything else.

If I had to translate it to Maltese, I would say she actually meant “Mhux iz–bab Joseph jghidli x’ghandi naghmel b’Ciru!”

She’s the sort who must have taken the “gvern femminista” literally, so she’s not going to be told what to do. That’s my interpretation of the very simple expression that she used.

“Gabi Calleja has not spoken on the Cyrus Positive Engerer case…

…I hope Cyrus has not threatened her with a pendrive.”

Put a few more pounds on her and she could pass for Deborah Schembri’s double .

Gabi Calleja said that she does not consider Engerer’s vile actions as homophobic. But if a hetero did the same things to a gay person that Engerer did to his ex partner then most probably the LGBT would consider that action as a homophobic one. Ahna ahna jew m’ahniex?

She should stick to the doughnut talk a bit more. Why would I get rid of a great big cinnabon like that?

This blog is full of desperate housewives with nothing better to do than to speculate on everything.

    Well done Daphne..lol :]

[Daphne – Most of my readers are men. And most of the comments come in from men, too. It would be nice if more housewives read this website – lots do, but I’d like more.]
