There might be a slight hitch if as the article states ”Most Chinese want to go to a less populated place.”

God forbid I sound negative but might our extreemly talented passport purchasers, oops sorry, investors, also have this effect on Malta :
”Many accuse rich Chinese immigrants of driving up property prices in Canadian cities like Toronto and Vancouver, while failing to fulfil basic residency requirements, or failing to appreciate Canada’s egalitarian ideals.

“Money is power in China. You can do anything you want with money [there]. Not so much here,” wrote one reader in a forum on Canada’s Globe and Mail newspaper.”

Note that ”here” in the latter quote is Canada of course, not Malta.

    • Not Sandy:P says:

You needn’t worry. Malta has no egalitarian ideals. Everyone believes themselves to be a member of an exclusive elite – even the trolls and freaks who root for Norman Lowell.

British boarding schools nowadays rely heavily on Chinese (including Hong Kong), Russian pupils and children of servicemen. Middle Eastern children go to Switzerland.

I’m made up. The Chinese run the Maltese a very close second in the ‘put on this earth solely for my amusement’ stakes.

    Good.

Less Chinese in Canada might be a very good thing as they are haughty enough to have shops with ONLY Chinese signs in places like Agincourt ( aka Asiancourt) in northeast Toronto, when the official languages are English and French.

They like their own kind very very much as opposed to very much, like everyone else.

I hate to see what the Chinese do in British Columbia now, as the province is totally ‘fuxated with them.

I am sure Prime Minister Stephen Harper will bend over backwards to accommodate them in some other way soon enough.

His Canadian style high schools in China for Chinese pupils was his brainstorm to get them ready for Canadian Universities, so later they can sponsor their whole family to Canada.

And you all think Maltese politics are dirty and full of graft.
