So that Maltese ‘bikie’ who had his residence visa withdrawn by Australia’s immigration minister was in Malta for this

…a gathering of the Malta MC Rebels chapter with Alex Vella’s mates Kenny Rebels and Jason Rebels and the rest of the Rebels gang. And being Maltese, they met ‘madwar il-pool’ (really tough).
I can see the wheels already turning in the prime minister’s mind: getting the Rebels on board for his next big mass meeting. After all, if the Rolling Stones did it with Hell’s Angels…

You can bet your bottom dollar that we’ll see them on top of the Triton fountain.
Not before Xarabank, surely.
Moda gdida. What a joke.
“Sons of Anarchy” wannabes.
Forever elite.
Well, I certainly don’t want to be part of their group.
How long until they organize a ‘dawra bil-muturi’ around Malta?
I happened to be at the Bugibba piazza last week when the Malta rebels were have a drink with Rebels Australia.
Does he actually have a criminal record himself in Australia or was his visa not renewed because he is the leader of the notorious bike gang ?

Senior law lecturer at the Queensland University of Technology Mark Lauchs says it is normal government policy to “try and keep people with a criminal record outside of the country”.
“My understanding is that Alex Vella doesn’t have full citizenship so they’re taking the opportunity to stop a person who’s been here for most of his life from returning to the country on the same basis as if he had, for example, been a person seeking a tourist visa … and they have a similar criminal record,” he said.
Kieku fi zmien Mintoff, bil ‘Bop’ qed jigru.
Please do not decide that this is a silly or stupid issue before looking at what is happening in Australia.

If Australia deemed Mr Vella troublesome, then this nation may be justified in expelling him. However what did he do? Did he commit a crime? Is being a biker a crime?
They are not bikers; the bikes are a side-show. They are watched because they run the drug syndicates, execute the gangland killings, run prostitution rackets and are involved in all forms of organised crime, at least in Australia. They even have forts – no joke.
mate you have been watching way too much sons of anarchy! have you ever actually been to Australia or are you just talking shit? because most of the gang land shootings are the Lebanese gangs like the Muslim brother hood there are problems here and there with bike gangs but the biggest problem is the powers camble newman gave the police to harass Australians who ride motor cycles. a group of friends can not ride together if larger then 3 people you can be detained just for knowing a biker. civil rights are being taken away all because these supposed bikies are dangerous when really its only a small number!
There is something very fishy with this Alex Vella deportation thing.
Why did the Australian government find it so difficult to deport this guy in all those years?
They had no problem deporting far worse criminals throughout all of Australia’s history as a colony or as a Commonwealth nation.
Was he a useful tool or front for a bigger fish perhaps?
Did he have some goods on someone higher up in the food chain in the past that now is no longer around?
Did Vella piss off someone vastly more powerful ?
I cannot remember his name but a few years back there was an Australian man whose parents were Yugoslavian (later Serbian). The man was born in Serbia and taken to Australia as a toddler — I believe he was a year old — and since he had a past as a drug addict, when he went to Belgrade on holiday one year he was denied re-entry to Australia.
After quite a few months camped outside the embassy in Belgrade and quite a lot of pressure from his family in Australia, he was granted entry.
That case was absurd. The man was hardly a hardened criminal. He was more like a man abandoned by his own country on a technicality. It was shameful. This case we have here is of course a bit different.

“Everyone has a hobby in life and mine is riding motorcycles.”
“We are not a criminal organisation despite what the police continue to say about us. We are simply easy targets.”
Police disagree, and in 2012 established a national task force to target the Rebels, its 70 chapters and more than 2000 members Australia-wide.
Mr Vella was due in court last month as police sought to shut down the Rebels clubhouse on his property at Leppington in Sydney’s south-west.

Why are bikers always fat and bald?
[Daphne – They’re not always fat and bald, but the vast majority of them are for the simple reason that they are middle-aged men with a mid-life crisis, or that other variant of middle age: men who never grew up and can’t.]
Dear Daphne, I believe you are running a mid-life crisis since your all day judging people online. And for saying fat and bald. I really would want to see where your fitness level is at since your all day in front of a computer. Get to meet the people before you write stuff like this. I can really see how all grown up you are. People like you are cancer to society.
[Daphne – The day I get a poser’s bike and a helmet to spend my Sundays slowly coasting around the boring lanes of Malta, and begin saying that I live to ride, then say I’ve got a midlife crisis, Anonymous. And just to make sure you’re in the picture, I grew up on the back of a motorbike. Without a helmet.]
Because you used to ride behind a motorcycle, without a helmet, [such rebellious behaviour from your part] doesn’t mean you know the people who ride. If you grew up on the back of motorbikes you should have a better perspective on bikers because surely you would have met people who looked intimidating but in reality are really nice chaps. Your like saying I used to take private dance lessons, And I know about all the dancers in the world.
[Daphne – Riding without a helmet wasn’t rebellious behaviour, but entirely normal. Nobody even had a helmet, let alone wore one – no, not even children like me. And this may come as a surprise to you, but I do happen to know very many of the bikers – you know them as bikers, but I knew and know them socially. This is because they tend to be men a few years my senior who had a mid-life crisis and got a Harley at 40. They have a life outside the biker world, you know. And that’s the life in which I know them, which is exactly why I can’t take this ‘live to ride’ business at all seriously.]
Or don’t want to…
What does the ‘clenched fist’ salute stand for?
It is usually associated with glorifying violence for its own sake.
Fuck u all……we live to ride….
[Daphne – Try a horse. At least that requires a degree of skill and fitness.]
Yes, they do fit in with Muscat’s middle class suburban chromed bling.
I dont know what the local chapter is involved in and actually I’m surprised to see its actually quite large but 2 things one needs to keep in mind:
a. those 1% are not a joke. This is very serious business. Its organised crime on a par, if not more vicious, to the Camorra. Check out the war between the Bandidos and Hells Angels in Montreal as an idea. Mr Vellas counterpart in Canada Maurice “Mom” Boucher was so powerful he ordered the assassination of two random prison guards simply because some wardens man-handled him in prison
b. Why is the man with such a high profile even bothering to be in Malta in the first place?
[Daphne – I would say the answer to your question b. is in your point a.]
They have a Facebook page. https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10201697043659052&set=a.2571880707504.2102339.1568877359&type=3&theater
I wonder how many people forming part of the ‘club’ realise that it is probably more than just a group of motorcycle fanatics who meet up on Sunday mornings just to drive ‘all the way’ to Cirkewwa for fun … I always thought how ridiculous these over-50s are.
You do know that those are not the same Rebels that are referred to in the article?
Over all Maltese are regarded as being soft, this is NOT the case with Maltese in the North West England. Thank you Alex Vela you are well respected by non mc affiliates in England , You make me proud to be of Maltese blood. To you nice people on the home islands who live on your knees.
Dont Tread On Me.
Mr Vella is such a nice guy, how can you judge a person when you dont even know him ?
Well Alex had 40yrs to become an Australian Citizen I guess being Maltese Citizen was more Important , never take Australians or the Australian Government for granted
