“Ghandek xi flett, hi?”

That Big Brain, Jose Herrera – now parliamentary secretary in charge of the Lotteries & Gaming Authority – has spoken at a conference on the subject. In synthesis:

“Remote gaming is good because it attracts lots of barranin to Malta to work and they rent our flats.”

X’mentalita miskina: typical of that family – fixated on land, property, development and building flats. You’d think it was their main line of business.

No I don’t think it’s their main line of business, which goes to show that he is glad that this gaming business is generating money for those others who are in that line.

Shame the speech or mumbles were not recorded. The irony is that Jose Herrera praised the PN government for its sound policies in this sector, and for its contribution towards the GDP of circa 12%.

You should have heard Renzi speaking in English.

[Daphne – Not interested. English is not an official language of Italy, nor are Italians schooled in English. You should hear me speaking in Italian.]
