Paranoid delusion is a mental illness which requires treatment and care, not a media circus

The Malta Independent reported last Thursday:

Former EU Commissioner John Dalli today said that EU Commission President Jose Barroso should be arrested if he comes to Malta.

“These attacks by Dr BS strengthen the suspicion that Dr BS is part of this fraud committed against me. I would like to know whether he was part of the fraud perpetuated in 2004.”

“As to the second investigation, this is nothing but a media campaign organised by the Commission and OLAF to slander and intimidate me. Another conclusion that I arrive at is that Dr BS is part of this campaign. ”

“I am considering publishing the correspondence that I have with OLAF and part of which has not yet been replied to by OLAF and to take further appropriate action.”

“I assure Dr BS that this time around I will not leave things lie as I did in 2004, when the then Commissioner of Police decided not to investigate who instigated and used Joe Zahra, the private investigator who received a two-year jail sentence.”

The man is obviously not all there. Some crisis must have been triggered off by the catastrophe of the 2004 PN leadership election and he has been left undiagnosed and untreated all this time, becoming progressive worse and more paranoid and delusional.

Unfortunately, in Malta we are so accustomed to abnormal behaviour that we treat it as normal or think of it as unremarkable, and it is only when we come face to face with the astonishment of outsiders that we are brought up short.

The fact of the matter is that Dalli’s behaviour indicates he is in need of psychiatric help. That is not a throwaway remark but a serious one, and his family should take it seriously. The man shows all signs of paranoid delusion. People suffering from paranoid delusion – which is a mental illness – need a psychiatrist and not the attention of newspapers and prime ministers.

Dalli is very obviously ill.

He implies Simon Busuttil should be placed under arrest.

Ah, so now both EU Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and OLAF Director General Giovanni Kessler should be arrested – according to J Dalli BA, the Special Consultant of Prime Minister Joseph Muscat. Lovely.

Malta: Quickly becoming China of the Mediterranean.

I have been saying that John Dalli is a sociopath since his involvement in the Daewoo scandal. Thereafter, to cover up his involvement and financial gain, he went on to falsely and maliciously accuse me of defaming him.

As the police had confirmed that the stationery used came from parliament the evidence points to him. John Dalli had the motive, financial and human resources to organise such a crime.

He went on to give false witness during the court proceedings against me.
He is a vindictive, manipulative liar with a warped mind. During his years in politics he used and abused many people who helped him get to the upper echelons of power.

John Dalli does not suffer with paranoid delusion. Saying that he has a mental illness is making excuses for his unreasonable behaviour.

He always considered himself to be top dog and does not like anyone standing up to him. This time he has found some one who can stand up to him who is telling the truth and there is nothing he can do about it.

The only thing he can do is issue empty threats and while bringing himself down to the lowest level he is dragging Malta’s name into international disrepute.

Stop making excuses for him. John Dalli always operated in this manner. He is a devious and deceitful operator. Unfortunately everyone in Malta is scared of him including the Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

In any other European country he would have been given a good talking to by the Prime Minister and forced into cold storage before he could cause any further embarrassment.

If there were any decent and honourable people in Malta they would come forward and use the Whistleblowers Act to give their account of anything illegal that they have witnessed involving John Dalli. That will stop him from continuing with his charade.

Mr Ellul Grech, you are totally right regarding John Dalli. The sad thing is that the PN was well aware what John Dalli and his buddies were up to and still no action was taken against them. I am not in any way or form referring to the snus story.

      • Joseph Ellul-Grech says:

Maria, in the early 1980s when John Dalli started to take over the PN finances from Dr George Bonello Dupuis and I was John Dalli’s right hand man, many PN employees at party headquarters suffered injustices because of Dalli’s actions.

When I reported John Dalli’s involvement in the Daewoo scandal to former P.M. and President Dr. E. Fenech Adami, my concerns were ignored. In revenge John Dalli framed me.

He accused me of sending 20, 000 anonymous letters claiming to defame him. Common sense only should bring anyone to a conclusion that it was impossible for one person (me) to conduct such an exercise.

Three months after I was falsely charged it was confirmed that the stationery used came from parliament. I did not have access or connections to parliament. However, John Dalli did. Despite this, criminal proceedings against me continued for almost four years.

However, John Dalli had the motive, financial and human resources to conduct such a vengeful and criminal act.

No, John Dalli does not suffer with any mental disorder. He is a scheming, lying, deceitful, arrogant, bully who has always been prepared to go to any extent to punish anyone who stood up to him.

John Dalli is a perfect sociopath and whoever awarded him BA after his name had a stroke of genius.

    My thoughts all along.

  5. P Shaw says:

Why is the MLP a magnet for these sick people, or more precisely, the MLP seems to be constantly prying on mentally sick people and displays them publicly.

John Dalli is not the only one. The last two general elections are full of examples.

The problem with Maltese loonies is they never get round to topping themselves.

  7. Artemis says:

If anyone is entertaining thoughts of feeling sorry for John Dalli, don’t bother. Save your sympathy for his victims.
