   A government minister who approves the payment of public funds to his wife is corrupt because he goes against everything public accountability and good governance stands for.

   Sai Mizzi was ushered into this week’s Beijing photo shoot in a weak attempt to paint over the cracks and allow Muscat an opportunity to play his favourite recording – “oh, yes we could have handled it better” (i.e in hiding the dirt).

   I think she is just a cover for Shiv Nair who is working in the background. Muscat then presents Nair’s “arrangements” as proof of all the work the Mrs Mizzi is doing so as to justify her pay check.

   Mrs Mizzi has a plan so cunning that if you put a tail on it, it would be a fox. But then she probably never watched Blackadder.
