Muscat leases his personal car to the government for his official use, and then travels by private jet

private jet

Joseph Muscat has used a private jet paid for by the public purse 11 times since he became prime minister 15 months ago. He first used one just a few days after being elected, which kind of screams out ‘boy let loose in a sweet-shop’.

Mainly, he uses it to get to and from Brussels, which is served efficiently every day by Air Malta.

    Why are you surprised? When he was Opposition leader, he used Gaddafi’s jet to fly to and from Tripoli.

    Mhux kiesah it-tifel. Dan qabel l-elezzjoni kien jghid li meta ikun fil gvern mhux ha jonfoq flus bl-addocc.

  4. M. Cassar says:

    He is really successful at two things, doing exactly the opposite of what he says AND doing what he, with boundless indignation and noise pre-election, accused others of doing.

    If nothing else, we are now getting to know the real meaning of arrogance.

  5. Alexander Ball says:

    Isn’t this the sort of thing that the Labour Party’s television station should be railing against?

    I wouldn’t be surprised to find out that he’s found a way to lease it to the government also.

    And this is the same person who when in opposition was ‘scandalised’ by an arlogg tal-lira.

    Labour knows no shame.

    • La Redoute says:

      He wasn’t scandalised by an arlogg tal-lira. That was just another of his red herrings. You need to read Muscat like the class creep and not as a mature man with a developed intellect, proper vision and strong moral principles.

    Who does the jet belong too? Or who has shares within the company it is leased from? how much is it costing the government. Follow the money trail.

    Thank goodness we don’t have an air force or he’d expect a couple of fighters to escort him around.
