Taghna Lkoll: Ray Calleja has been put on the public payroll

Published: July 26, 2014 at 9:09pm

Labour Party campaigner Ray Calleja, who has for years been one of the more prominent personalities on the Labour Party’s television station, has been put on the public payroll as ‘events and projects manager’ for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in 2015.

The CHOGM preparation office has been turned into yet another Taghna Lkoll trough, headed by Face-Cream Phyllis.

You know it’s a non-job when they stick ‘project’ in the title – like special projects coordinator Julia Farrugia in Project Malta which hasn’t been set up yet.

That Ray Calleja guy looks like a fruitcake.

  4. Min Jaf says:

Wasn’t Lou Bondi appointed full time directly by Muscat to do that job? Or has Lou traded in the CHOGM event in return for being allowed to play his electric guitar on stage?

And another one rises from the dust (rather than bites the dites). Pero meritocracy is in their veins, always has been and always will be.

  7. xmun says:

La Redoute. Don’t be insulting. I am a Project Manager in the private sector and it is more than a non-job” I can assure you, but then I cannot vouch for these taghna lkoll appointed project managers

    • La Redoute says:

I never said project managers do nothing.

The insult is your government’s, not mine. Whenever it creates a non-job, it’s called project something or other.

Are we sure homosexuals make up just 10 per cent of the population in Malta, as they do everywhere else?

  10. Calculator says:

This and Muscat’s words at the London School of Economics make it clear why he was in such a rush to have the CHOGM organised and hosted by himself: more iced buns to hand out.

It hardly needs saying that this attitude is simply incompatible with the goals of such meetings.

Ciccio, thanks for enlightening us. Ara l-veru qed naghzlu nies tal-ghola kwalita. Nistghu naqghu iktar ghaz-zufjett?

I simply can’ t find a reason why a performing artist cannot have such role, yes he dressed up as a ‘LITTLE BO PEEP’ , does it signify his ability to manage such event. No it does not make any difference, you just pick on irrelevant stuff which apparently shows how unprofessional you are.

  14. just me says:

How much will CHOGM cost? Millions I am sure. So we have all this money to spend for organising CHOGM but cancel local council elections with the excuse that they are too costly.
