He wouldn’t make it through the benchmarking exams with that level of English.
It is hard to establish a level based on just one sentence but I would give him a B1, no higher. I assume his spoken interaction can be no higher than a B1 either – hardly the level required for journalism.
Oh yes he would. My children had a good laugh with their bench-marking past-papers, because of the mistakes in them.

If Malta Today really had to employ Pisani John, then Balzan Saviour and Degiorgio Roger should also have employed a dedicated sub to work on everything he writes.
