Joseph Muscat thinks that 18-year-old students can’t be trusted with a Smartcard, yet he thinks that, at 16, they are responsible enough to vote wisely.

Joseph Muscat I suppose is laughing his head off that he managed to hoodwink the students before the elections. First he promises them the earth and then he starts clamping down on what he thinks may be extra expenses. I would not be surprised if next on the list is the complete abolition of local councils. If anyone says anything the usual mantra, unless yuo completely agrees with all that the PL government is doing, is ‘you are being negative’.

Demographics, demographics, demographics. Voice in the desert and all that.

Muscat knows – as I do – that most of the teenage vote goes to Labour. It is in his interest to lower the voting age, and if he could go all the way to 12, he would.

If voting were limited to the 30-39 cohort, the NP would win hands down.

If he walks he will get there sooner
