Whenever I watch clips like this one, I always wonder how on earth did PN manage to win nearly each and every election since 1987.

They only one one election when it counted: 2003. The rest were near defeats or defeats altogether. They lost at the crucial turning point in our history.

I like to read your blog but I find nothing amusing in this post apart from people classifying people as ‘hamalli’. Why should we call people that are eating, singing, dancing and enjoying themselves as ‘hamalli’ ? What are older people expected to do ? Stay home and sleep ? I find the comments here very unfair and some people should be quite considerate before judging others as they might be judged by others in different circumstances.
The problem is that these poorly-educated people elect equally poorly-educated buffoons like Parnis.
People judge other people. That’s the way of the world.
Looking at this video makes me realise that Malta got the government they deserved. What a sad bunch of people who are closing their eyes to all the abuse that is going on around them.
I feel sorry for future generations because they will not have the upbringing I had in the past 25 years, where peace of mind was guaranteed. Bring it on….it’s what all those people wanted.

I will inevitably ruffle a few feathers when I say that this clip evidences the degree of inbreeding that is prevalent in Maltese society.
You may refute this claim on the basis of demographic figures, however but the images speak for themselves and is right before our eyes.
Think twice before biting that particular bullet (again in some cases). Chris Cardona, Manuel Mallia and Konrad Mizzi all did, although how much good it actually did them remains highly questionable.
[Daphne – It’s not inbreeding that’s the problem. Those people are the least in-bred in Malta because, as by far the largest group and the dominant one, they have far more extensive marriage choices and they use them. If marrying within the same restricted circle were really a problem, there would be really serious deficiencies of looks, physical stature, abilities, intelligence and health with the 5% to 10% of Malta’s population that have been marrying each other for the last 200 years at least. But there aren’t. No, what you are looking at is the result of the inevitable reality that the mating choices of stupid and ugly people are restricted to other stupid and ugly people unless they are rich and/or famous, which in that category is not a factor. This phenomenon is not at all unique to Malta: it is present everywhere in the world, including massively large countries. Good looks, good physical stature and intelligence do not come out of nowhere: they are genetic. If two stupid people with a dominant genetic heritage of stupidity marry each other, the likelihood that they will have an intelligent child is tiny to non-existent. It is surprising how many people do not understand this or blank out the reality. You get men marrying women for their looks, ignoring the fact that they are dumb, tearing their hair out 20 years down the line because their sons are ‘hopeless’ (the daughters’ lack of brains is not important, with men like that). It is sometimes on the tip of my tongue to blurt out that if they didn’t want stupid children they shouldn’t have married a stupid woman, because then what are the odds that your children are going to be stupid too?]
