Judging by the way things are going here in Malta, at the next general elections in Malta (assuming ones will be held), the only candidates will be Joseph Muscat and Sai Mizzi Liang.
Ironic, isn’t it?
Hong Kong is trying to acquire full democracy they never really had.
Malta is surrendering its full democracy (with some gaps) earned over 50 years to the same Chinese who are depriving the people of Hong Kong, of theirs!
Go figure that those 35,000 had so much say in destroying what Malta gained over 50 years by a thoughtless, greedy and egotistic act of stupidity when they elected these dangerous clowns!
Many of those 36,000 would not recognize democracy if it stared them in the face. They (and some Taghna Lkollers never will) may start to understand what it means when they lose it. And by then it will be too late.
[Daphne – Yes, it would be a Labour voter who thinks it worthwhile to give up personal freedom, human rights and democracy for money. You clearly haven’t read the news from Hong Kong.]
The PBS newsroom has missed this. Hong Kong receives a shower colder than any ice bucket.
Does he really need any more inspiration?
Poor Chinese have no money for free elections. They spent everything fighting imperialist dogs and buying foreign labour parties.

it is a matter of electoral fatigue

That is excellent news for Malta as prospective investors continue to invest in our ever flourishing island.
If only we were as successful and wealthy as HK!!
