Is this the same country that Saviour Balzan described as a former Communist giant?
The Chinese are our strategic partners, they do us favours like buying 30% of our only energy company by taking control of the brand new plant which was commissioned only two years ago.
They are so kind-hearted and always smiling, until you ask them some silly questions which can make them cry in front of the camera.
And they are not monkeys. They do not get paid in peanuts.
Boris Johnson – another devious and dangerous man – fits in well with the Chinese. It’s a good thing that England has a well-established democratic system.
I find it rather unusual that the Chancellor of the Exchequer had not shoved a towel in Mr. Johnson’s mouth. He could easily have cracked a joke about Peking ducks or something, ruining the prospect of China ‘investing’ in the British economy…

Do they want to reenact all the horror that went on in that street?
Hi Daphne, I don’t have your email, I just wanted to tell you I saw Qormi Mayor aka Nuxellina at Hugo’s Terrace having dinner with Hugo Chetcuti, the owner of basically all clubs in Paceville. Was she selling her wares?
Interesting.
Your point being??
Sendikajra!
We are now a colony of an increasingly rich increasingly dictatorial increasingly communist and increasigly mighty military power based on corruption and injustices.
Thanks to Joseph Muscat.
B`din l-ahbar flimkien ma dak li ghaddej f`Hong Kong ghandhom jifthu ghajnejn u widnejn Joseph Muscat u lill tieghu ilkoll li ghandu rizorsa ferm prezzjuza aktar mill energija xi jbiegh lic-Cina. Dak hu negozju li jista jdahhal lic Cina bi prezz astronomiku ghax dik ir-rizorsa mhux talli ma ghandiex bizzejjed imma lanqas tezisti. Id demokrazija Zuz trid tbieghelhom lic-Cinizi, energija pozittiva li il pozizzjoni pozittiva strategika li ghandha Malta taghmilha ideali. Tant ragunament pozittivi, positively charged, biex ma jmurx alla hares qatt xi hadd minn taghhom ilkoll jahseb li qed ingemgmu. Hemm ghandek tkun pozittiv Zuz.
Jista jiftah ghajnejh kemm irid , Joey Muscat, imma daqsxejn tard wisq.
Jinsab maqbud f’morsa li kull ma tmur qed tissikkah u dalwaqt taqtaghlu nidsu.
Tghid mhux ghalhekk ma jridx jippublika dettalji tal-kuntratti sigrieti li ffirma mal-gvern Ciniz?
To paraphrase Henry Ford: “You may have any politcal views so long as they’re taghna Lkoll.”
Out of subject but I have to write these two observations.
Tetrapack cartons cost a LOT, Benna is currently advertising Rockestra 2014 which is already sold out.
Last year the audience applauded for the president and our charming prince Joseph, while it booed when the leader of the opposition’s name was mentioned.
Can anyone ask the “charity” organisers how much it cost to have this Rockestra advert 2014 on the Benna milk carons?
To evict or not to evict , drop court cases , or pay €4.2 million instead of evict?
Mediterranean Film Studios were evicted after the court case was decided.

Who will continue to invest in a country where the rule of law is disregarded and an “anything goes” attitude is the order of the day.

Martin Scicluna wants to lock the stable door after he helped the horse which has bolted.
What’s done is done. This country has become a lawless country where the law can be bent if not disregarded outright.
The leader of the opposition is being accused of breach of privilege on similar grounds.

While on the subject of dictators, does this incident remind you of anything in particular?

The following article in the current issue of Time magazine is interesting to those who still consider China as Malta’s financial “salvatur”. The article is titled “Workers’ Revenge. China may be communist, but for decades capitalists have run roughshod over labor. Now Chinese workers are standing up for their rights – and that could change the global economy”. Further on the article states “While unions exist in China, they are under the umbrella of the state-managed All-China Federation of Trade Unions, which despite its name has historically shown little interest in defending its members” Rings a bell doesn’t it.
Your point being what exactly?
