  1. Joe Fenech says:

The Maltese political scene is becoming a Commedia dell’Arte play : full of stock figures, very obvious and quite boring.

  2. Scarface says:

Says it all. These type of clips should be shown on Net every hour on the hour and posted on all the social media.

  3. matt says:

Come March I expect the entire PN to unite and demand Muscat’s resignation. He must resign.

    He deliberately deceived the electorate.

The Labour Party can choose a new prime minister and continue to be in government as that was the democratic wish of the people.

But Muscat himself must go. He is leaving a legacy of lies. The Labour Party deserve a respected leader and Malta deserves a serious prime minister.

    • Tabatha White says:

      Absolutely.

      These words of Ivan Fenech’s:

“This is not a government, this a Labour occupation.
That was not an electoral programme, it was a swindle.”

Should become the heartbeat and battle-cry of every Maltese who wants the best for Malta.

  4. canon says:

It will be premature for Simon Busuttil to ask for the resignation of Joseph Muscat because of the debacle of the gas power station.

Muscat will turn the local council elections of March 2015 to a vote of confidence. But Busuttil can expose Muscat as the biggest liar of all.

Muscat lied through his teeth when he was questioned during Dissett, two months before the European parliamentary elections.

  5. Francis Saliba MD says:

Min gideb, diga inqabad skond kliemu stess.

  6. Pablo says:

The PM has driven us to a place where we have to produce a lot more than we need. The Chinese have unsurprisingly out played the boy from Burmarrad at his own game. So to save face our clever little salesman created this EU energy hub alibi.
    Simples says the meerkat.

  7. Francesca says:

Will Muscat quantify “a few months” please as we definitely don’t seem to speak the same language.

Does he mean 3 to 4 months, or 24 to 48 months? Another lie in the making. Daphne, this clip will be needed “in a few months” to highlight this.

  8. anthony says:

    Consummate liars.

They can get away with it thanks to a gullible, semi-literate electorate.

  9. T says:

That sideways glance by Muscat when replying to Reno’s question speaks volumes.

  10. canon says:

    Spot the lie competition.

  11. Daisy Wells says:

We need more of these videos showing us what a sack of scum Muscat’s party is, and what a barefaced liar he is himself.

  12. curious says:

Today Konrad Mizzi will be updating us with developments about the power station saga.

I have a funny feeling that one explanation why we will be giving China the assurances it is asking from us will be the following.

The Chinese want assurances that the government will buy all the capacity of the BWSC plant when it is clear that the country does not need all this capacity.

Last week Joseph Muscat said that the problem with the interconnector is that Sicily does not have enough capacity for its needs let alone to sell to Malta. He did not say that Sicily can buy all the capacity it needs from mainland Europe!

This statement by Muscat is just paving the way for accepting the demands of the Chinese on the excuse that the interconnector is useless as there is no capacity to buy and hence there is no problem in committing to buying all the capacity from the Chinese.

We should expect Konrad to also tell us that any excess capacity we generate can be sold to Sicily!

Let us hope that they won’t put the cart before the horse and before making any commitments they will get written assurances that Sicily will indeed be buying from us. Failing that, it is just all hogwash.

While the prime minister fusses around Cyrus Engerer’s skirts, the price of oil has fallen drastically in recent weeks but we are stuck with a fixed high price.

How sweet in pink and blue. Does this reflect the backward mentality that in a gay couple there should be the male and female role ?

  16. winston psaila says:

The man did tell us that he only tells the truth once in a while. It was probably the only one time he ever told the truth.

  17. pablo says:

Gejna f’sitwazzjoni fejn …… z-zejt tela’ f’wicc l-ilma. U inthom gejtu f’sitwazzjoni li thallsu intkom stess ghar-rohs…imma xi tridu izjed minghandi, nirrizenja?

  18. Aunt Hetty says:

A government based on lies and sleaze.

  19. Len says:

No hurry, take your time Dr Muscat, the more time it takes, to build the power station, the better.

In the meantime can you please plug in the interconnector.

  20. Malti ta' Veru says:

It always amazes me how people can hear these recordings and programmes and not really be listening to the message being conveyed…..we do suffer from this inability to listen to things clearly, though! How else could such blurb be construed into a magical potion to dupe voters at an election?

  21. Angus Black says:

A cornered rat is a dangerous rat.

  22. Manuel says:

This government is so transparent that you can actually see through Muscat’s lies.

  23. holly says:

Recently, during a discussion programme, a Taghna Lkoll representative of Transport Malta (or of the Minister for Transport) in reply to the fact that every morning all main roads are jammed with traffic, she said that the traffic jams as simply perspective not the truth. The PL is an expert in the manipulation of perspective. This was their only aim in position, during the election campaign and it seems they still think they can utilize the same tactics in government.

  24. CiVi says:

Inkredibbli e! Kif ma jisthux jidhru quddiem in-nies ghidli.

  25. Doc says:

How Joseph’s health minister and parliamentary secretary are preparing for the eventuality of Ebola cropping up on our shores

    How very reassuring!

  26. Edward says:

Again, the main flaw think believing that being realistic is thinking “negatively”. You throw reality out the window, and reality always wins.

Again, let’s see them think their way positive out of this one.

  27. Gino says:

    PM faqa ħi tal-ġen swt

  28. EVC says:

Jekk jirrizenja l-Prim Ministru kif suppost ghandu jaghmel il-gvern kollu ghandu jispicca ghax il-wieghdi u l-gideb li saru kienu kollha appoggjati mil-kandidati kollha.

Hadd minnhom ma qal li ma jaqbilx. Kollha kienu jafu bis-suppost road map.

Kollha tkellmu l-istess fuq kull wieghda li saret mal-poplu u kollha huma komplici b’dan l-ingann li qed isir kull jum.

Imma la tista’ tghid l-irgulijja ma tezistix f’dan il-gvern, hadd m’ghandu jistenna li ssir xi rizenja.

  29. Gaetano Pace says:

Jien qed inlesti l-posters u kartelluni biex fl-ewwel ta’ April, l-ghada tal-31 ta’ Marzu 2015, immur il-belt Strada Rjali nimxi bihom, kif jaghmlu tal-Gvern With Union sa quddiem il-palazz.

Kliem semplici u sabih, rinomat, kantat, melodjuz, tal-King of Rock, li jghid “kif dejjaqtni, mur u hallini”.

Nispera li Joseph Muscat ma johrogx mill-gallerija tal-Palazz ma l-MLP u jghidli “Bahnan blajtha? L-ewwel t`April.”

Tghid min hu l-bahnan? Int li emmintu jew hu li nizzililek sa grizmejk?

  30. giogina says:

Il-verita tixraq biss ghal Malta taghna lkoll u mhux HABI u dizonesta ghax hu RISKJU KBIR ghall-pajjizna. Ahna irridu ONESTA u VERITA. Min ma jurix l-informazzjoni kollha fuq il-mejda tal-kamra tal-Parlament hu hazin u tal-misthija.
