The Mizzi/Muscat combo are now coming across as a Boss and his stooge
I use the word ‘boss’ in the way it is understood by the flash-trash who think Medasia Playa is glamorous. Sorry, glamourous.
It is clear, and this new video really picks it up, as did Claudette (Pace) Buttigieg in her piece for The Malta Independent, that the dynamic between the prime minister and his energy minister is that of a manipulative ‘crime boss’ and his stooge.
It is a dynamic played out in spy films and crime thrillers and parodied in satires like Blackadder.
Quite frankly, I think that the energy minister has Asperger’s Syndrome and that this makes him vulnerable to his boss’s cynical use of him as a tool.
Of course, this does not exculpate the energy minister from any form of blame or responsibility for what is happening, but it does explain rather a lot.

I know this is totally unrelated but reading the news on The Sunday Times made me so angry.
I am utterly disgusted by this government’s lack of perspective and energy when it comes to public health. Now even the G.U. clinic, the only sexual health clinic we had in Malta, is closed.
WTF is wrong with Labour? While all European countries are at the forefront on the fight against HIV, AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases, our country has become worse than Africa in this respect.
How is it that the government has not mentioned anything about Bank of Valletta’s satisfactory results in the financial health check carried out by the European Central Bank?
Certainly such important news about a bank that holds a substantial part of the Maltese people’s money when many other banks investigated have been found to be insufficiently capitalised is an important result for Malta.
[Daphne – Maybe because it coincided with the Appeal Court’s ruling on the National Bank shareholders case?]
‘Quite frankly, I think that the energy minister has Asperger’s Syndrome and that this makes him vulnerable to his boss’s cynical use of him as a tool.’
It is also making the minister look like the proverbial village idiot.
So that’s two cold showers for Joseph with the compliments of blabbering Konrad.
First the ice bucket than the power station completion screw-up.
‘It is also making the minister look like the proverbial village idiot’ He is the village idiot. Just watch the clip.
It’s also what NET TV should be transmitting every day.
Sounds like Sai Mizzi and Shiv Nair have not been delivering.
Asperger’s Syndrome is often associated with savants and prodigies – I couldn’t disagree more.
[Daphne – Asperger’s Syndrome is often associated with savants and prodigies in the way that epilepsy is often associated with visionaries. I think we should stick to medical fact, don’t you?]
In the last part of the video, Muscat looks like he has suddenly aged 20 years. Is that the price he pays for lying so blatantly?
“Quite frankly, I think that the energy minister has Asperger’s Syndrome and that this makes him vulnerable to his boss’s cynical use of him as a tool.”
Why is this?
[Daphne – Because people with Asperger’s Syndrome cannot decode behavioural signals or detect underlying (ulterior) motives and they take everything literally.]
Very possible, Daphne. It will also explain his ‘odd’ deportment and puzzling smile.
Malta is full of personality disorders which are mainly induced by poor parenting. Only after a national mental-health and parenting assessment and some serious long-term strategies will Malta change.
