Why is it considered OK in Malta for a man to behave like this?

Published: October 7, 2014 at 8:43pm

Look at Mr Tough Guy, the Police Minister’s henchman. He’s a fine one to hit a woman, but then faced with the prospect of a bucket with a bit of ice in it – in an August heatwave – he cringes, clenches his fists, lowers his head and screws his eyes shut.

Yes, a grown man. If there is a single video out there of a Maltese man taking a bucket of ice IN AUGUST without flinching, cringing or making fussy sounds and gestures, please send it to me. What we need in this country is not an ice bucket challenge but a Real Man Challenge.

Have you noticed how in the Islamic State murder videos, none of the men are flinching, pulling away, sobbing or begging for their lives? And the Police Minister’s henchman behaves like this with a bucket of ice in 36C heat.

Pity that Silvio Scerri didn’t nominate his boss, Emanuel Mallia.

The real men were those who did not succumb to peer pressure and herd mentality.

They are that way, because unfortunately they are put through the torture of multiple mock executions and they only know they are going to die as soon as they feel the knife goes in.

From tonight there’s another PM who’s younger than Joseph Muscat: 38 year old Charles Michel of Belgium

It’s all one big theatrical, Daphne…….the superficiality of this government and its henchmen is incredible…..i still wonder what ON EARTH possessed people to even trust this lot to organise the proverbial in a brewery!

Here are a couple of Scots. Note the relaxed hands in both the animated one and the statue: http://www.theguardian.com/politics/video/2014/aug/24/alex-salmond-alistair-darling-yes-to-ice-bucket-challenge-video

Both men would be far too polite to call Scerri a feckin tosser. I’m not.

The Ukrainians came up with the trash bucket challenge: literally throwing politicians into a dumpster.

And what about ‘men’ who comment on issues which are not their business any longer? Never mind compromising investigations, the ‘look at me I am in the know/important’ syndrome at its best. What is this person’s new role these days by the way……….. nah, couldn’t be?!

”Former police commissioner Peter Paul Zammit believes investigators are close to identifying those who dug a tunnel in an unsuccessful bid to penetrate a bank vault in St Andrew’s a year ago.”

Nominated by PBS CEO Anton Attard. This should ring a couple of bells.
