A novel experience for Joseph Muscat

Being relegated to a narrow box at the bottom of page 4 while Simon Busuttil and Manuel Mallia dominate the front page for different reasons:

Now he’s lashing out. And the first thing that goes is the put-on “pulit” accent. It’s back to deepest Burmarrad. Irrabjat il-boy.
The twisted jaw says it all.
It’s that same rottweiler expression he pulled on arrival from that football match.

Finally relegated to the silent bench / the corner.
Donkey’s Ears position for liars.
Is Times of Malta awakening or just reflecting the outrage?
He is giving a ‘positive’ energy speech right now. Full of insults, exaggerations, lies and numbers which make no sense.
I don’t know why, but I cannot understand any of his economic reasoning.
If the economy is doing so well as he is suggesting, why did he award only a 58 cents increase in wages and a one-time Eur 35 bonus?
“The economy is doing well”
“In 20 months we have created 15,000 jobs” – this pronounced while turning back to address those idiots sitting behind him.
The whole shenanigan reminds me of Hitler’s rantings in the last weeks of April 1945 while huddled up with a sample of his faithful in the Berlin chancellery bunker.
He was directing his imaginary hordes and armies in defending the city – when everybody around him knew that there were no such and that the few boys and old men enlisted as a last resort to defend him were already in tears and shreds without even the slightest hope of survival.
None of his underlings found it either useful or beneficial to bring him down to reality – the penalty being an outburst of raving mad screaming and the famous “carpet biting”.
Now, if the PM is calling Dr. Busuttil negative, doesn’t that make the PM negative as well?
Think about it, if the PM wants to be positive he has to say that Dr. Busuttil gave a great speech. That would be a win-win for the PM, he would be both positive AND truthful.
Endured ten minutes of Muscat’s budget speech. His frantic mannerisms, barely-contained fury, confused rhetoric and theatrical antics reminded me of Franco Debono.
You deserve a medal I managed just over a minute.
Mahruq wahda sew u meta jkun hekk jiddajjef.
The Secret, and other laws of attraction religions, is based on the idea that like attracts like (actually opposites attract too in science, right?) and if you want to be successful, you must do what you can to attract positive things by being positive yourself.
Being critical of the likelihood of something is classified as being negative, which will bring negative things to your life like illness, financial hardship and emotional distress.
It uses pseudo science to create the illusion that you have it within you to be “successful”. The video seductively whispers these words to the viewer, while depicting some bogus story about how this secret was kept hidden from the world, ignoring the obvious fact: if so many powerful people kept it hidden, why does she know about it and why is it now on sale?
The major problem with this is that it pathologises anyone who points out a flaw or who is a victim of a bad situation. It is based on the idea that for something to work out, all you have to do is believe. Very Disney but I’m afraid not quite right.
Are we, then, passing laws and policies based on the imaginary science that all we have to do is not mention the risks?
The resulting discrimination that comes from this philosophy can be summed up in one simple real life situation. After the tsunami that hit Japan, the creator of The Secret said that the Japanese were resonating with the situation and so the situation hit them, and they should have thought differently which would have resulted in them not getting hit by a tsunami.
Does the PM agree with this? Does the PM, therefore, also agree that the poor chose to be poor?
The myth that seems to exist in Malta is that somehow the middle class, to use the classist term Muscat does, exists purely because all its members are happy.
The truth is that behind the middle class image of the two cars, happy home and nice furniture and occasional holidays, there is very strict housekeeping, effort put in to becoming a doctor or lawyer or some other profession, and prudent saving of money.
In other words, I am all for people looking to improve their situation and having a better life. But to do that you must not rely on optimism alone. Optimism might help you survive the hurdles in life, but tactical choices and proper understanding of the risks involved will get you further.
Sounds like the hamallu he is. Imbasta he went on about education.
If anyone is proof that it’s not the school but the home environment that counts, it’s Joseph Muscat.
If you contradict me, you’re being negative.
If you criticise me, you’re being negative.
If you show me for what I am, you’re being negative.
What a spoiled brat, expecting everyone to agree with him and feed his overweening ego. And if they don’t, then they’re just being negative.
Has anyone had the same feeling as myself that he must be out of it.
Have you noticed all those facial expressions?
We were really left speechless at the pathetic spectacle of someone who really needs a visit to a shrink.
The man has gone from unhinged to mad.
Did this happen over the past week?
It’s actually pretty scary to sit down and count the men in politics who are off their rocker. They all have something in common and I can’t really put my finger on what it is: Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando, Franco Debono, Ian Castaldi Paris, Joseph Muscat. Aside from their self-obsession, they lack masculinity while going out of their way to prove how macho they are – but in their fights and battles they always project ‘woman’ rather than ‘man’.
Narcissism.
Maybe they’re stocking Red Bull at the parliament bar.
I predicted a spiteful speech delivered in anger and full of lies.
Muscat’s speech confirmed my prediction 100%.
He even lied about Simon Busuttil not wanting an inquiry regarding the shooting incident and alleged cover-up.
He knows no shame.
