Face facts: this is organised crime on a massive scale, with police, officials and politicians bought off or directly involved

This is not just a matter of a few police officers and officials being bought off with suits or ‘bottles of water’ to let Chinese factory workers into Malta in a state of indentured servitude. This goes way, way beyond that.

It’s time we faced facts.

I was left dumbfounded when I saw the pictures of the Syrian guy holding a pistol and all that cash in front of him!.

    Malta is a criminals’ paradise.

Tell me please, does Manwel Mallia’s threat make him liable to suspicion of involvement?

    Will he be questioned?

Will he be asked to resign for his inappropriate comments?

Will he be spending 36 hours in the chip for having made such a comment?

Would they explain the reason he’d been called in for questioning?

Would they say lawyers “are for films”?

Would he be referred to as a prisoner thereafter, in business, by competitors?

  3. Caclulator says:

I’d say that the Maltese media – perhaps in some cases unwittingly – also serve organised crime’s interests due to their twisted priorities and lack of investigative journalism.

The government is in collusion with these criminals – under the present administration even more so – and one man’s battle with hypothermia in saving his dog or the Gender Identity Bill make the headlines of the ‘top’ newspaper in Malta.

Thank God for people yourself who take the time to find out some facts, connect the dots and share them with the rest of us.

There are always consequences. When Mallia went to the press baying for the blood of “informers” (aka whistleblowers) he sent out the wrong message, a dangerous message.

It’s too late now to show solidarity with the victims of this violent act. Why have thinking ahead and trying to foresee consequences become so unfashionable?

    • hmm says:

I urge Joseph Muscat to hold Mallia accountable for his statements, because if not we are really back to the days of Mintoff, Lorry Sant and their thugs.

  5. Joe Fenech says:

Police officers are involved in organised crime but also secret societies.

  6. P Shaw says:

It is time to revive the story of Keith Schembri, his cousin , and both their networked and questionable businesses.

  7. White coat says:

As I’ve been saying, we are back to MLP times and this administration’s cream on the cake will be rigged elections. This current bunch of politicians in power cannot afford losing a general election for obvious reasons, very serious reasons.

  8. M says:

This is rich! I am absolutely nonplussed:

“…Manuel Mallia says police forces in different continents should cooperate to combat human trafficking of migrants. Addressing the 83rd Interpol general assembly, Minister Manuel Mallia, said that human trafficking crimes have been rapidly increasing…”

“…Criminal organizations are taking advantage of the despair faced by large number of migrants, to carry out such acts….”

Is he also explaining how they are hunting for the policeman who gave the information regarding the Leisure Clothing issue?

What about the threat to any policeman who gives out information?

Will there be question time so that those present can have the opportunity to ask him about the egg on his face?

I know that men are known for their ability to compartmentalize but this is disgusting.
