  1. J. Borg says:

    So stupid it is PAINFUL!

  2. Clueless says:

This is getting beyond surreal: Stephen Smith asked for Manuel Mallia as his defence counsel, not knowing he is now Police Minister.

  3. Mila says:

Does this billboard have a MEPA permit or is it part of the ‘helping the people who protect us’ scheme?

  4. Alf says:

Absolutely Gvern tal-Mickey Mouse. A billboard that refers to initiatives in favour of persons with a disability is placed to block a pavement.

This is an initiative for persons with a disability or not to use the road instead of the pavement.

    Is there a MEPA permit?

  5. Daisy Wells says:

A number of trucks and cranes are seen around the streets putting these monsters on pavements and to add insult to injury, they are also painting them on the spot. Most of these billboard were red before being painted over. Just spotted 4 from yesterday evening till today round 10am being positioned and painted.

  6. Idiots is too mild a word to describe the persons behind this initiative.

  7. Alexander Ball says:

I used to notice these things. Now I am so de-sensitised, they look normal.

  8. ciccio says:

It’s not just “imbecilli,” but also insensitive.

Besides, I am expecting to see that billboard torn apart with three bullet shots any time soon. It’s protruding too far onto the carriageway, there is a real risk that one of the Ministers’ cars will scrape a side mirror against it.

    • Tabatha White says:

As a matter of interest, what gun was it and how many bullets does it hold?

One never knows in this country… at least if we know how many bullets there are in “security guns” we’d have an idea of how many prayers to fit in.

  9. Noel Buttigieg Scicluna says:

Keep in mind where all these billboards erected illegally on public property are.

Not only is the government paying money to the owners of these billboards for perpetrating illegalities but mark my words, soon after the present notices are discarded, the billboards will be used for private advertising with more income going to their owners.

Perhaps a contribution from this income goes into the pockets of others. Months later MEPA might do something about the situation, if at all.

  10. Pete says:

And is that the lower part of a traffic directions sign that is visible just beneath the billboard?

  11. White coat says:

I was going through the traffic when that was being craned into place. It was the peak of the morning rush hour. Contrary to what Joe Zejt Intellghu f’Sena Mizzi was telling us last week, that works connected to arterial roads will not be carried out during rush hours

  12. C.G says:

Buffura rih u ghal nofs ta’ triq. Where are the safety officers, Transport Malta and whoever is supplying these billboards?

  13. Lupin says:

This is Zabbar next to the village entrance gate.
