Watching this video of Don Manuel’s campaign launch almost two years ago is nausea-inducing in the present circumstances. Looking at the audience is fascinating – are those Mario and Liz Said of Scotts Supermarket? Yes, I believe they are. And Sandro ‘My Red Ferrari’ Chetcuti. And inevitably, Maurice Calleja, father of one of Don Manuel’s biggest cocaine-trafficker clients – Meinrad Calleja, who was banged up for 15 years in Malta alone, and in Rome before that when the flight he and his cocaine were on was diverted to that city and he was caught by the Italian police instead of coming straight through the airport VIP lounge in Malta.
I took a screen-grab of Brigadier Maurice and Don Manuel embracing at the end of this sick-making spectacle: two sleazy frauds on a stage, neither of whom can sit properly, watched and applauded by a bunch of criminals, parents of criminals, crooks, cheats, thugs, off-duty policemen and lick-spittle lackeys.
Unbelievable. Well, sadly only too believable. And why is there a Japanese lady in the audience? Came on the arm of some thug, did she?

The first thing Don Manuel did when appointed Army Minister was form a commission to look at ‘army injustices’ and appoint his big client’s father to it along with Mrs Edward Zammit Lewis’s father, Raphael ‘Il-Bagollu’ Farrugia.

Right and wrong were never concerns. If Manwel could screw someone, he did. His only concern was to raise himself out of a gutter. Money was his priority and, he thought, his passage.
Manwel’s strong point is arranging (invisible) commissions.
I would maintain, that this is his strength with, and over, Muscat.

What fakes. I couldn’t bare to watch a minute of this video before the elections and now I’ve enjoyed every second of it. It actually feels good to be on the losing side. Which has turned out to be the winning side.

This is the first time I have seen this video.
I have seen the height of hypocrisy and cannot believe so many supposedly intelligent people fell for those two sloppy con artists.
Perhaps Dr Mallia can explain what he was doing at Tal-Barrani while he admired Mintoff so much. The two are in conflict. It is either one or the other. I suspect it is the latter.
This video should be left permanently headlined on this site and extensively promoted to highlight this person’s hypocrisy as well as reminding the suckers – many well known ‘puliti’, you can see a few of them in that audience – that they have been duped.
Observe our Prime minister in this video and you will notice that he was barely following, or understanding. In fact at a point he can barely keep his eyes open, he was falling asleep and making a huge effort to keep his eyes open.
