Ministerial arrogance update: Michael Farrugia

Published: November 28, 2014 at 9:32am

This is Michael Farrugia’s official car, parked in H’Attard yesterday at 7.40am.

The street was half-empty, but of course the car had to go on the pavement, on a double-yellow line, on the street corner.

Then you hit their car and they shoot at you.

  2. Brian Sinclair says:

These guys think that they own the country.

Switchers need to know what arrogance is all about.

We are getting this in high doses. Enjoy the ride.

    • Jack Beans says:

Switchers know what arrogance is, Or so they think, because that’s one of the reasons they voted these people in.

The other more relevant reason is that switchers are more interested in their iced bun than in the proper management of the country.

As long as this arrogance doesn’t affect them directly they will tolerate it, if anything in denial of their mistake.

When they lose hope of getting their iced bun they might start their switching process again.

  3. Natalie Mallett says:

Well, it does say STOP right in front of it.

  4. Enrico Lapira says:

He’s covering the STOP sign. Don’t they have any wardens in H’Attard? Or do they have instructions not to book government cars? What arrogance.

  5. Rita Camilleri says:

Allura miskin, he took the word “Stop” literally….he stopped.

  6. Viva il- Farizej says:

Can I get a similarly equal opportunity of parking on yellow lines without the risk of getting slapped with a fine by some lurking warden?

  7. Martin Farrugia says:

U jiena qlajt ticket ghax kont ipparkjajt bhalhu. Mela ghax jiena cakkar nehilha u dan ghax ministru flok jaghtina ezempju, jaghmel li jrid u hadd ma jkellmu. Tasal elezzjoni ohra u dawn nibqa niftakarhom.

  8. Drinks With Vince Micallef says:

Is that car parked outside our minister of state’s house so early in the morning, or outside his armed driver’s?

Or is he back to the tradition of slipping in a quickie with somebody on the way to work?

  9. “We are above the law. Don’t you know who we are?”

This should be the motto of Malta’s cabinet headed by P.M. Joseph Muscat.

Social media did them; social media will undo them.

It seems that it is not only ministers who are excelling in arrogance.

Could someone ask the Planning Authority if applications can be discussed while works are being carried out in flagrant defiance of an enforcement notice? Where are the journalists with microphones when you need them?

There is a little issue here, the excuse of ‘we did not know’ would be a bit moot considering the public outcry and press coverage of the said illegal works.
