More tahwid: the Justice Minister and the CEO of John’s Group
Chris Farrugia, CEO of John’s Group, was seen coming out of the Justice Minister’s office yesterday at around 4.30pm.
His uncle George Farrugia is currently testifying before the Public Accounts Committee, under presidential pardon, in the ‘oil scandal’ case.
His brothers, clients of Emmanuel Mallia & Associates, have not been prosecuted, even though the investigating officer – who was removed from the case when Emmanuel Mallia became Police Minister – said that they should be charged and he was about to do so.
So can we know what’s going on here? The other Farrugia brothers are escaping prosecution because their lawyer now controls the police. And what is their nephew Chris Farrugia, who heads up their operation, doing meeting the Justice Minister?
Is Owen Bonnici leasing a fleet of limos for Janice? For his ministry? He shouldn’t dealing with that company in any circumstances, given the ongoing business before the Public Accounts Committee on which he sits.
