Wasalna fi stat li l-libertinagg tela fl-irjus il-Laburisti.

  2. Mr Meritocracy says:

    Well said.

I would have added, though, point (e): Il-poplu ghandu bzonn ikun jaf jekk ix-xuffiera tal-Ministri kollha ghandhom il-pussess ta’ arma.

    • Jozef says:

Every shot fired by every policeman these last fifteen years; so the criminal lawyer prepares his exhaustive defence.

Interesting how the minister’s direct instruction to the assistant commissioner made it to Medialink in what, minutes?

“Il-Prim Ministru għandu jneħħi lil Manwel Mallia, inkella ikun qed juri li mhux kapaċi jikkontrollah”.

This is going to be interesting.

Isn’t it brilliant when there is a focus that isn’t blurred?

  5. tinnat says:

Well done, Dr Busuttil. Good to see you using some hard – but well-deserved – words.

  6. mandingo says:

The prime minister should stop kissing Manuel Mallia’s arse because he will never turn into a prince.

Just do the right thing and sack him.

  7. Peritocracy says:

Does Manuel Mallia have any Lorry-Santesque secrets up his sleeve?

  8. D. Borg says:

I concur with Dr. Busuttil that Minister Mallia is not fit for purpose (in fact never been since the infamous alleged half a million in cash).

However, I also expect Dr. Busuttil to ask whether other ministers have armed escorts, and to declare that a future PN government will not resort to such armed escorts unless there are factual serious threats to the person/s concerned – in which case the public has a right to be informed.

  9. Edward says:

Regarding that last point, is it really Muscat’s job to control him?

Sure an element of control is needed, I suppose, but really Mallia is his own person. Muscat sets the standard ( not much faith being inspired there) and Mallia should be following it. Anyone who doesn’t should be kicked out straight away. That’s the way I see it.

  10. Albert Bonnici says:

Now were is the great Eddy Privitera? This time round, Eddy, you are really and truly screwed.

  11. RF says:

    Manuel MalLIAR

  12. Volley says:

Manuel Mallia qed imexxi il-gverm mhux Joseph Muscat! Il-gvern gie hijacked minnu.

  13. PWG says:

Is the place where the shooting actually took place still being contested? Has the area indicated by the witnesses been searched by the police for stray bullets?

  14. worried says:

I’m sorry but although I have utmost respect towards Simon Busuttil, he just doesn’t cut it.

The gist of the press conference is good but the delivery is slightly more boring than last Sunday’s homily at 12 o’clock mass.

This incident is really disturbing and deserves a much stronger reaction.

I can’t imagine what Super One and the PL would have done if the roles were inverted.

I’m sure that they would have done a better job at convincing people that the situation is unacceptable and the PN is the spawn of Satan.

In other words.. put some muscle (and balls) in it Simon Busuttil!
