  1. Pippa says:

In any other democracy she would have to resign, but she won’t .

If all the members of this government were to follow the norm in such cases we would be having an election in the very near future.

So much for transparency and humility.

Its sounds so much better in Maltese – ‘Isthu jekk tafu.’

  2. back to the 80s says:

Everyone seems threatened under this Labour government to speak his mind for fear of losing his job.

I am not surprised however because this is typical when Labour is in power.

They think that they are above the law and can rule undemocratically.

  3. Makjavel says:

When the cake becomes smaller from overindulgence , they will eat each other.

  4. anthony says:

The Minister for Some Are More Equal Than Others opportunities.

Issa l-gvern taghna u naghmlu li rridu. Orrajt hi!

  6. Jozef says:

Victor Scerri would have resigned by now. And he wasn’t even in parliament.

Remember Jason Micallef threading through the mud?

  7. PWG says:

These people have no shame. The spotlight shines brightly on them and they carry on regardless aided abetted by the institutions.

  8. mila says:

The prospective buyer says he is doing the construction work. Helena Dalli’s husband says he has nothing to do with the construction work going on. Mepa says no construction has been going on at all.

Here is another (un)equal opportunity. Times of Malta issues the President’s reaction to the issue of her £500,000 increase in tax payer’s money she will use, according to her to collect more funds for charity. And because we are such a democracy, no comments are allowed to be made on the newsaper site regarding the article.

Unfortunately no journalist asked why the President’s statement says, for example, that ”Attempts to reduce contributions to the MCCF risk a collapse in essential medical treatment …” When we are told that essential medical treatment in Malta is free and available to everyone.

Why is there a need for the President to create a mini-social services department with its own set of rules and agenda? The set up seems to have been born with good intentions but is it now turning into a monster?

What happened to Joe Falzon? Is he still the MEPA auditor?
