The Farrugia brothers are the Police Minister’s clients

And that’s why it looks so bad, and so suspect, that they haven’t been prosecuted when the investigating officer says they should have been and that he had drafted the charges against them before he was redeployed elsewhere.

Does this not seem similar to John Dalli not being prosecuted before John Rizzo was deployed elsewhere?

The spider’s web is denser than we think. No end to it.

All these connections are positively incestuous.

Criminals all. We have a bunch of them lying continuously to us. Out with them.

  4. bob-a-job says:

Like Dalli, the Farrugia brothers thought they were innocent until they heard all the evidence against them.

I always thought it suspicious that Manuel Mallia, being the avaricious person he is, would give up his flourishing criminal law practice just for the nation’s good.

I am inclined to believe that his main aim to protect himself: ‘If I go down, I’ll take the rest of the ship with me.’

    • Angus Black says:

And that is why on several occasions I questioned the ownership of those 500,000 euro in CASH kept safely under Mallia’s bed.

Are they his, or are they not? Are they in Mallia’s ‘safekeeping’ on behalf of someone else?

First he claimed they came from the sale of property, and when that was found to be untrue (false Declaration of Assets and Income ?), then he switched the source as ‘from professional fees’.

One thing is for certain, the police will not investigate their own boss and the PAC will not examine, let alone cross examine one of their own who at one point stated that he knew nothing about what was going on at the Farrugias while a letter signed by him to Farrugia had mentioned something like ‘they should regularize (or clarify) their position.

Did he know, or did he not? Does he still have the Eur500,000 in cash, or not? Very unlikely that he would have spent it when he took the trouble of switching his address to Gozo so he could save a few cents off the Gozo ferry fare.

  6. Changing of the guard says:

Why should we be surprised? Isn’t this the very same Minister for Home Affairs, National Security and Sweeping Reports Under the Carpet? Remember this:

”Home Affairs Minister Manuel Mallia says the reports will be published but was unable to say when.”
