These are screenshots of Times of Malta’s and The Malta Independent’s online polls on whether the Labour Party’s Scumdog Millionaire (well, one of them, anyway) should beat a hasty retreat or be defenestrated at once.

Ah…. our famous 36000 difference (almost there)
Joseph Muscat doesn’t have much choice left.
If Emanuel Mallia wants to give us back something in return, as he promised before the general election , he has to give us back the dignity.
Very sad really. A respected and able criminal lawyer has morphed into a figure of fun.
[Daphne – Was he ever respected? I hadn’t noticed. What sort of people respected him? I’m curious.]
Q – What sort of people respected him?
A – Those who went to the pet shop and kept asking how big he’d get.
Err……his dubious clients.
Never quite respected. Just kept his place until he felt that he could make it on his own. The rest is history.
Manuel Mallia will resign and the prime minister will appoint him as his special envoy to Interpol.
It would show some small sense of dignity were he to beat that hasty retreat.
But defenestrated is too beautiful a word to neglect in case he doesn’t, sense of elevation to levelling included.
Tghid fazulla ukoll din?
”The lawyer who accompanied police officer Paul Sheehan when he was giving a statement to the police on the Gzira shooting incident is Dr Arthur Azzopardi, a lawyer in the firm Emmanuel Mallia and Associates, the Home Affairs Minister’s firm.”
Sometimes one has to cut his losses. Mallia is a hopeless case who would not know decency if it punched him in the face.
Just when one things thugs cannot sink any deeper, they prove you wrong.
