And while his colleagues in Malta put on 20 kilos in 20 months and pull off a passable impression of a bouncy castle, this one is rapidly turning into somebody’s 90-year-old card-playing granny.

Is that a shooting star I saw from the corner of my eye or is it an iced bun racing to Roberto Cristiano?

He had announced it last Friday during his weekly programme. I had commented that it was a bit late in the day to discuss it on Xarabank when in the past he used to cancel scheduled programmes to deal with a subject a caldo.

As you said, Joseph Muscat needs all the help he can get.

How can he do that if there is an investigation going on?

I could quite happily contemplate a concentration of tomatoes and rotten eggs coming down in Valletta or Burmarrad.

Even a series of shoes would do.

I am not going to lose my confidence in this government due to a stupid huffed and puffed incident as this soap opera. In fact it made me completely lose all hope to see the PN change from the party I always known it to be and never embraced. If you ask me, PN took a turn for the worst with Simon Busuttil at the helm. His mask now fell off now. The scorn and despise that came through his face was seen by everyone in the way he treated the Labour media. PN is a party for the hard-liner. But primarily it is a party that stands up more for that Machiavellian brained individual who knows how to go about and move ahead in life….’

‘The party I always known it to be and never embraced’, how does that work?

‘Busuttil is arrogant with the Labour media’, sigh.

One of this government’s slogans should have been ‘murder gets you places’.

Irregular and unusual interrogations, notifications and associations are nothing new for these people. Off the record dealings seem to be their speciality as is throwing their weight around.

Time for the EU to take on the task of vetting its candidates.
