Now PC533 is saying that the Minister is at the depot and demands that they put him through so that he can speak to him.

This call is clearly orchestrated to create an alibi for Mallia. Why would someone entrusted with children not have a direct and immediate line with their parent(s)?
Mallia must have been that other person who stayed in the car. He then heard Sheehan call HQ and realised he was screwed so he must have ordered the other driver to come get him while ordering Sheehan to call HQ the minute he left. All in the space of two minutes.
In fact I doubt Mallia had even arrived at HQ by that time which would explain why we do not hear him in the other call with Commissioner of Police but given to understand that Mallia was there with him.
What seems a bit off here is this insistence on being put through to the Minister who is ‘at the depot’ or on asking to have a message put through to him.
If Sheehan was using his mobile constantly and freely why couldn’t he just call the Minister directly mobile to mobile or message him if the Minister was not in position to respond to a voice call?
On balance I still do not think the Minister was actually in the car at the time of the incident but still, this details seems staged.
Times of Malta this morning deliberately translates ‘Sparajt fuqu’ as ‘he had fired twice at a car’ even though the 112 operator responds by asking ‘Sparajt fuqu. Fuq min sparajt?’
Biased much?

This is actually the recording released today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=btbMMfJD1qE#t=57
The “I’ll empty my gun at you” one was out yesterday.

So I am very sure that the 5/6th recording will have PC 533 telling Mallia everything !! What a shame!!
This is increasingly more confusing. I think all recordings should be released in chronological order.
During all 5 recordings, Sheehan constantly repeats and informs the other end that he shot at Smith.
It’s seems like he is constantly boasting about the fact that he fired directly at him.
During the recording when the police commissioner (in possible collaboration with Kurt) planted the words “warning shots” Sheehan pauses for a few seconds.
At first I thought he didn’t contest those words as he may have thought that with this interpretation he will actually get out of this mess.
His pause was a sign of hesitation. As if he was annoyed that the commissioner used the words “warning shots”. He didn’t like those words, he keeps saying I shot at him.
He wants to boast about it, as if it makes him a hero.
Is there a recording of the phone conversation between Sheehan and the Minister at Police HQ?
This is the big one, so am I right to assume that NET is leaving it till later?
Din l-istorja kollha ghal presunta ‘hit and run’. Fuq kollox kellu n-number plate tal-karozza u b’sempliciment rapport f’ghassa tal-pulizija kien isolvi kollox.
Something does not tally in this latest video.
The minister’s driver, who had the minister’s daughter with him, does not need to use the police switchboard to contact the minister who supposedly was at the depot. He could easily grab his phone and call him.
Or are we to believe that a ‘babysitter’ does not have the fathers telephone number, or that a minister’s driver does not have the minister’s number?
I suspect the insistent request to speak to the minister is a ruse to muddle things up.
Sheehan knew well that he was not a foreigner because he spoke to him in Maltese.
A few days ago Minister Mallia got a hero’s welcome. Do we really need another hero? Haven’t we got an over abundance of them?
Driving, shooting, using the mobile and minding the minister’s daughter at the same time.
Move over, Superman.
If you earlier said that the minister was with you and then realised that the conversations were being recorded, you would make sure to correct your version and say that the minister is at the depot twice and have that on the recordings too.
Not sure if I missed something and it is a minor detail but why “Ara ma tqumx”? Tqumx minn fejn? Jekk mill-art, ghax tah xi xebgha?
Also, he sounds quite flustered when he asks to speak to Mallia. Could it be that Mallia was avoiding his calls at this point?
