Friend of Baku/Beijing Joseph lectures us about corruption

I think the US ambassador should communicate her views directly to her friend the prime minister when he returns from his Top Secret Mission to Baku with Keith, Kurt and Konrad.

It would make a refreshing change from going to Michelle’s fashion shows for The High Society, or celebrating in St George’s Square when the man who tried to violate human rights by pushing back immigrants legislated for same-sex marriage.

If she was there to celebrate same-sex marriage she should have been there to protest against the same government’s human rights violations. If her position as US ambassador prevented her doing the latter, it should also have prevented her doing the former. They are the two sides of the same coin.

I am so unimpressed.

Well the USA appear to be treating the Azerbaijani regime with kid gloves.

They also push them back at the Mexican border, and some would have claim to asylum, you will never know.

Mention human rights to the US, and Guantanamo comes to mind.

It would be interesting to know if Sai Mizzi is an officially approved promoter of the Henley&Muscat passport sales scheme. This might be covered by reason of her “other” onerous ambassadorial duties.

And if I am not mistaken she is meant to be a career diplomat not one appointed as some reward for helping elect the President. What a let down.
