Secondly, preventing the truth from coming out about crime is unlawful. Whether it came out in a clandestine way or through the official channels, well, that is a different issue.

Manuel Cuschieri’s language and tone bring to mind how the secret police in Nazi Germany vowed to find the source of Hitler’s infamous failed assassination attempt.
Some brave soul with a conscience within the Police Corps thought that it was in the best interest of the people to feed journalists with the recordings to unmask this cover up.
He or she understood (before Joseph Muscat did) that the true version of events should be published and that the Minister’s actions and those of his staff should not be hidden.
My feeling is that this is only the beginning of a chain of events that will escalate.
We, the Nationalist Party members are in for a long and tiresome battle to convince the electorate that fundamentally, our government is going to disappoint us month after month.
