Top comment: an amazing PR iniative by the police in these troubled times

The irony of our police force and Scottish bagpipes would have been clearer if you had cared to visit The Point this morning.
There was a contingent of mounted police, and at least two others dressed in Father Christmas outfits, complete with their Pulizija high visibility vests on top (to make sure visitors note they’re actually policeman in fancy dress) and playing bagpipes.

I imagine they stuck to the festive programme.
It seems as though Mallia got what he wanted off Smith.
Were they armed with machine guns or just semiautomatic pistols?
The policemen playing the bagpipes did not seem to be armed, unless they had it hidden – but there were other policemen who were well armed for everybody to see.
was there someone playing the glock-en-spiel?
