What a story on Malta Right Now

When Manuel Mallia’s driver was arraigned, the prosecuting officer said that he should be charged with attempted murder because the police have recordings to back this up.
I wondered what those recordings could be. Malta Right Now reported today that Sheehan rang for the police Rapid Intervention Unit while holding his gun.
He is heard, still on the line and out of breath, running.
Then two shots are fired, which get a startled, frightened reaction from the person taking the call at the police control room.
The news portal also reports that last July, Sheehan was involved in a car accident at Hal Far, close to where the Chinese indentured workers of Leisure Clothing live in barracks.

It appears that he also being charged with ramming or attempting to ram Morrison Smith’s car during the chase.
Daphne, normally you are against conspiracy theories, which most Maltese love to concoct.
Usually the most straightforward answer is the correct one. From information you received from eyewitnesses, we were informed there was an altercation between the driver and Smith, with the latter getting irritable when he saw Sheehan pointing a gun and asking him to put it away.
I do feel the incident was about the broken wing mirror. There you have a hyper police officer powered by litres of Red Bull, and his paranoid mind registering that he is dealing with a “hit and run”. If it were anything more sinister, I don’t think Sheehan would be calling for support from the RIU.
[Daphne – Yes, that struck me too, but the investigators themselves do not believe the ‘hit and run’ story. You can equally ask why he shot at Smith while still on the phone. Nothing makes much sense.]
Smith and Sheehan were homosexual lovers having a lover’s spat.
That national pool area must be frequented tea-room with these aunties.
How is that for a basic concocted story?
Charles Buhagiar’s chauffeur too was involved in something nice last April … http://maltarightnow.com/news/2014/04/10/ikkonfermat-il-kaz-ta-arrest-fil-ministeru-ghal-ghawdex/
It’s all connected – this whole hideous web of crime surfacing lately is all originating from what appears to be one source, or a series of interconnected sources.
The same names of the same people keep popping up in all the cases. It is really terrifying not only that we have our own home-grown brand of the Mafia here but that it has seemingly got itself installed in sensitive positions of political power and is spreading very fast indeed.
All this with what seems to be the total blessing of the PL government. Could this “spider” have played a part in financing the Labour electoral campaign?
Has the PL forged a deal with this particular devil and is now so beholden to it that it cannot control it?
Who is really governing Malta? Are the prime minister and his government simply marionettes in the hands of organized crime? Who are the real players and movers in this political game? If they are who I think they are, this country is well and truly f*cked.

Dan Brown should come to Malta for a couple of months. I am sure that he would be inspired to write a couple of best selling novels.
“Who is really governing Malta?”
The Italian Mafia were right when they said Bastian Dalli is the Prime Minister’s brother.
How long before those recordings vanish without a trace?
L-anqas irrid nahseb fil-possibilita li Mallia – il-Ministru tal-Pulizija, tal-Forzi Armati, tal-Protezzjoni Civili u l-PBS – huwa l-politku imbuttat mill-kriminalita organizzata.
If, and I repeat if, the mirror incident occurred somewhere in front of Sheehans’ home in Nicolas Cottoner Street, and the chase started there, then why didn’t Smith make a right turn into Sliema Road and to the tunnels? But instead he drove up Nazju Ellul Street and made a right turn into Triq Wied Kappara, which one way or the other exits in Sliema Road just the same.
