He always looks and feels out of it

In two years we have never seen a photo of our prime minister speaking with his colleagues and looking at ease and involved with them at EU-level meetings. Had you noticed? He is always filmed and photographed listening and looking awkward, like an uncomfortable gooseberry or spare wheel, as though he’s wondering when the grown-ups will send him to bed (but if maybe he tries to be invisible, they won’t).
