Here are another two Taghna Lkoll appointees who are thoroughly unfit for purpose
CHOGM 2015 boss Phyllis Muscat (qualifications for the job: a career selling face cream to Maltese beauticians and salons) and her media coordinator Alessandra Pace (qualifications for the job: appearing in the Labour Party’s campaign video Malta Taghna Lkoll and chanting ‘Malta tieghi, Malta tieghek’) don’t seem to understand that the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting is a political convention and the location is incidental.
They seem to think it is some kind of tourism and ‘industry hub’ promotion initiative for cutesy Malta: come to Malta and discuss Tamil genocide in Sri Lanka while admiring a church in Mgarr in case you have never seen a church before in your extensive political travels. And if you have some spare time, check out its potential as a hub with fantastic proximity to those fantastic industry bases, IS-dominated Libya and Mafia/Camorra/’Ndrangheta-dominated Sicily and southern Italy.

Phyllis Muscat – appointed Taghna Lkoll chairman of the CHOGM 2015 organising committee. Her qualifications? Selling face cream to beauticians and entertaining Joseph and Michelle Muscat and their children on her boat, moored at Mellieha, and travelling with the prime minister and his spouse on a regular basis for holidays.
