    ara veru buffu ….

  2. orapronobis says:

It appears that Castaldi Paris’s priority is to have the prime minister, any prime minister, behind him.

  3. Jozef says:

Ah yes, that kunsill generali also had Debono, Musumeci and Engerer telling us how nice the PN was.

Nghaddu issa ghal dibattitu socjo-politiku-kulturali ma Godfrey Grima.

    Boo.

Qed nistenna edizzjoni specjali ta’ Xarabank li fiha naraw lil
Ian Castaldi Paris Laburista jiddibatti ma’ Ian Castaldi Paris Nazzjonalista fi programm dwar min qed jghid storja vera u min qed jghid gidba.

Fuq il-penil, biex jiddeciedu liema wiehed hu giddieb, u liema wiehed hu veru:

      1. Robert Muzumeci – Perit, Avukat, u Opinjonista.

      2. Ramona Frendo – Avukata, Opinjonista u Opportunista.

      3. Cyrus Engerer – Suldat tal-Azzar u Convicted Criminal.

      4. Frankie Tabone – Avukat u Top Student.

  4. H.P. Baxxter says:

See, the problem with these Nazzjonalisti types is they’re consummate laghqin. I mean listen to that speech. Fawning, slavering praise of the sort that was popular in 1930s Europe. Not one peep of criticism or rational analysis when they’re in with one party, and that makes it all the more easier to jump body and soul to the other party.

    • bob-a-job says:

So according to you, if a handful out of 133,000 Nazzjonalisti are laghqin that makes all Nazzjonalisti laghqin.

You have obviously never attended an executive meeting or an internal meeting where criticism is the order of the day, Baxxter.

I suggest you do because notwithstanding your sometimes bitter outlook on life, I feel you could be a valid asset to the cause.

      • H.P. Baxxter says:

Which cause would that be? I have nothing in common with you people.

(P.S. Learn to read and understand my idioms. I wrote “Nazzjonalisti”, not “PN”. I’m using a foreign word in an English sentence. It’s like writing “cognoscenti”. Get it?)

      • bob-a-job says:

        Never mind.

    • rc says:

Exactly. The people I know from school who have joined and are active in the party are the teacher’s pets and all round fidili.

    • Mila says:

In Malta it is an exceedingly common belief that if you criticize any aspect of something you are against the whole thing. Most people believe that if one voted for the Nationalists for example one should agree with every move and every speech each member makes.

This attitude is difficult to deal with in some places of work where one is expected to blindly support another person simply because of the way one votes, irrespective of that person’s actions.

Most criticism seems to degenerate into ‘tghajjir’, not in the sense of angry or loud only, but rather intent on causing offense and maximum damage, and therefore is seldom constructive.

  5. Brum says:

Can’t help but blame the Nationalist Party for having backed people like him.

The first mass meeting the likes of Castaldi Paris attended would have been after 1987. As the saying goes, “bahri tal-bnazzi”. Il-vera kumidjant.

  6. Joe Fenech says:

This man is chronically in need of support from someone else, seemingly party leaders. In psychology this is referred to as ‘codependency’,

  7. Ray says:

    The PN dodged a bullet.

  8. Allo Allo says:

How do you go from being so ‘kburi’ of a party’s history and so critical of the opposing party to abandoning the party you were so happy with and its ‘kapacitajiet kbar’ and joining the party ‘li ried jitkaza bih’ in the short space of three years?

  9. Lizz says:

    L-aqwa li kburi b’kollox u ma’ kullhadd.

I can imagine him as a child siding with all the winning teams in football.

  10. manum says:

How can anyone listen to this gargoyle? He makes my blood boil. Is it possible that whoever seconded him failed to notice his narcisistic qualities?

  11. Freedom5 says:

I am appalled by Castaldi Paris’s behaviour in switching without explaining the reasons for doing so. Therefore I can only conclude it’s some hidden agenda which will surface sooner rather than later.

However, I, for one, will for the first time not be voting PN as I do not consider Dr Busuttil to be an appropriate PN prime minister.

While Labour has had a string of deficient leaders throughout its history, the PN has produced one formidable leader after the other.

I am very disillusioned by Busuttil’s performance so far. He dithers, has no empathy, no strategy, no oratory, no leadership, and most fundamentally, I do not even know what his values are.

Inevitably, PN will lose the next election, and will get a drubbing. It is to be noted that Muscat’s current lead over Busuttil is greater than the percentage that PN lost at the last election. And this is 23 months into the legislature when normally any government’s popularity as it its lowest.

  12. ChrisM says:

This man strikes me as worse up there than Franco Debono.

  13. Xejn Sew says:

Ian Viva Chi Regna Castaldi Paris.
